摘要: The present invention relates to pseudotyped retrovirus-like particles or retroviral vectors comprising both engineered envelope glycoproteins derived from a virus of the Paramyxoviridae family fused to a cell targeting domain and fused to a functional domain. The present invention also relates to the use of said pseudotyped retrovirus-like particles or retroviral vectors to selectively modulate the activity of specific subsets of cells, in particular of specific immune cells. These pseudotyped retrovirus-like particles or retroviral vectors are particularly useful for gene therapy, immune therapy and/or vaccination.

摘要: A system for the treatment of microorganisms includes: a textile web having optical fibers in warp and/or weft woven with binding threads in warp and/or weft, each of the optical fibers having invasive alterations along the fiber and allowing the emission of light propagating in the fiber at these alterations; a light source arranged opposite one or both free ends of the optical fibers. The textile web includes metallic warp and/or weft threads woven with the binding threads, the metallic threads being based on a metal having a negative effect on the growth of microorganisms. The light source generates a light beam having at least one wavelength in the visible or ultraviolet spectrum.

摘要: A method for detecting a photochemically active chemical species in a sample, comprising the steps of: a) illuminating the sample with light at a wavelength suitable to trigger a reaction affecting an optical property of the chemical species according to an illumination sequence, such that: in at least a first time window, the kinetics of the first reaction is limited by a photochemically-activated step of the reaction; and in at least a second time window, the kinetics of the first reaction is limited by a thermally-activated step; b) measuring the evolution of the optical property during the first and the second time windows; c) determining at least a first and a second time constant representing the kinetics of the first reaction in the first and the second time windows, respectively; and d) using the determined time constants for identifying the chemical species. An apparatus for carrying out such a method.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for identifying mechanical parameters of an object subjected to mechanical stress is provided. The method comprises a step of acquiring, by an imaging means, images of the object taken before and during the application of the mechanical stress, three steps of calculating the effects due to the stress carried out either on the basis of the modeling of the recorded images or on the basis of a theoretical mechanical modeling of the stress, a step of defining a functional equal to the difference between the two models and a last step of minimizing said functional so that the experimental model is as close as possible to the theoretical mechanical model. Additional measurements make it possible to refine the method.

摘要: The present invention pertains to the field of agriculture. The invention relates to a method to inhibit gene expression in bacteria, which is referred to here as Antibacterial Gene Silencing (AGS). In particular embodiments, the method is used to protect plants against pathogenic bacteria by targeting pathogenicity factors and/or essential genes in a sequence-specific manner via small non-coding RNAs. The method can also be used to enhance beneficial effects and/or growth of plant-associated symbiotic or commensal bacteria. The invention involves either the generation of stable transgenic plants that constitutively express antibacterial small RNAs or, alternatively, the exogenous delivery of these small RNA entities onto plants, either in the form of RNA extracts or embedded into plant extracellular vesicles (EVs), which were found to be effective in reducing bacterial pathogenicity. The invention also describes a method to identify in a rapid, reliable and cost-effective manner, small RNAs that possess antibacterial activity and that can be further exploited for RNA-based biocontrol applications to confer plant protection against pathogenic bacteria. In addition, the latter approach is instrumental to rapidly characterize any genes from any bacterial species.

摘要: The present invention relates to an inductive dipole element for a superconducting microwave quantum circuit. The dipole element comprises a DC-SQUID formed by a pair of Josephson junctions shunted by an inductance, wherein the Josephson junctions have equal energy, and the Josephson junctions and the inductance are arranged such that each of the junctions forms a loop with the inductance. The two loops are asymmetrically threaded with external magnetic DC fluxes φext1 and φext2, respectively, such that φext1=π and φext2=0, wherein parametric pumping is enabled by modulating the total flux φΣ=φext,1+φext,2 threading the dipole element, thereby allowing even-wave mixing between modes that participate in the dipole element with no Kerr-like interactions.

摘要: A photopolymerizable composition comprises at least a polymerizable resin, a photosensitizer, an annihilator, and a photoinitiator. The photosensitizer is formulated to absorb an excitation light signal received in a first range of wavelengths. The annihilator is formulated to emit a light signal in a second range of wavelengths different from the first. During the absorption of light by the photosensitizer in the first range of wavelengths, the annihilator emits a light signal in the second range, a photon energy of the emitted light signal being greater than a photon energy of the light signal received by the photosensitizer. The annihilator is also formulated to implement an energy transfer mechanism to excite the photoinitiator for polymerization of the resin. The excited photoinitiator is formulated to generate at least one polymerizable initiator to cause the polymerization reaction. Related methods, such as three-dimensional printing methods, and materials are also disclosed.
