    摘要: Various systems, methods and other embodiments are provided for generating offers for the purchase of products. In one embodiment, transaction data is stored in a data store. The transaction data comprises a record of a plurality of transactions for the purchase of products through a plurality of channels of commerce. Requests are received in a server from clients for an offer in association with an interaction involving a product. Each request includes a tag indicating at least one of the channels of commerce associated with the interaction. For each request, an offer is generated in response to the request, the offer being specific to the at least one of the channels of commerce.

    摘要: A male condom assembly with trapezoidal-shaped shield for inhibiting skin contact along the genitals and testicles. The male condom assembly provides a flexible, thin-walled tube that positions over male genitals, and specifically the penis. The tube has a closed distal end and an open base end. The open base end of the tube is defined by a reinforced perimeter region that secures the base end of the tube to the base of the penis. A trapezoidal-shaped shield is integrally connected with at least half the circumference of the reinforced perimeter of the tube, at the base end thereof. The shield orients downwardly to align with the testicles during intercourse. The shield may be fabricated from an adhesive material that helps the shield wrap around the testicles, and at least partially cover the scrotum, pubic hair, and peripheral area of genitals.

    摘要: Antennas for electronic devices such as portable computers are provided. An antenna may have a dipole structure in which one antenna element serves as a matching element and another antenna element serves as a radiating element. The antenna elements may be mounted on a substrate. The substrate may be mounted on a support structure that is attached to a grounding plate. The grounding plate may be grounded to a conductive housing portion of a portable computer. The antenna may be mounted within the conductive housing in the vicinity of an opening in the housing. The opening may be a slot opening that is used to accommodate optical disks or other storage media. Radio-frequency signals for the antenna may pass through the opening.

    摘要: Wireless portable electronic devices such as laptop computers are provided with antennas. An antenna may be provided within a clutch barrel in a laptop computer. The clutch barrel may have a dielectric cover. Antenna elements may be mounted within the clutch barrel cover on an antenna support structure. There may be two or more antenna elements mounted to the antenna support structure. These antenna elements may be of different types. A first antenna element for the clutch barrel antenna may be formed from a dual band antenna element having a closed slot and an open slot. A second antenna element for the clutch barrel antenna may be formed from a dual band antenna element of a hybrid type having a planar resonating element arm and a slot resonating element. Flex circuit structures may be used in implanting the first and second antenna elements for the clutch barrel antenna.

Antenna windows can be formed from dielectric members. The dielectric members can have elastomeric properties. An antenna may be mounted inside a conductive housing beneath a dielectric member. The antenna can be formed from a parallel plate waveguide structure. The parallel plate waveguide structure may have a ground plate and a radiator plate and may have dielectric material between the ground and radiator plates. The ground plate can have a primary ground plate portion and a ground strip. The ground strip may reflect radio-frequency signals so that they travel through the dielectric member. The antenna may handle radio-frequency antenna signals in one or more communications bands. The radio-frequency antenna signals pass through the dielectric member.

    摘要: A sample containing nucleotide sequences is characterized or "fingerprinted" by contacting it, or portions thereof, with of plurality of primer pairs; detecting nucleotide regions delineated by subsequences hydridized with each primer pair; determining a physical characteristic of each such detected region; and indexing such physical characteristics as a function of the primer pair that hydridized to the delineating subsequences of the corresponding region. An apparatus for fingerprinting a sample containing nucleotide sequences includes functionality for carrying out such a process. A kit of primers for use in characterizing, or fingerprinting, a sample comprising one or more nucleotide sequences is produced by a process identifying a first set of primers that hybridize with relative high frequency to respective antisense subsequences putatively present in the sample (or complementary subsequences thereof); identifying a second set of primers that hybridize with relative low frequency to respective sense subsequences putatively present in the sample (or complementary subsequences thereof); and, providing as the kit of primers at least selected primers common to both the first and second sets.

The antenna structures may include antenna resonating elements such as dual-band antenna resonating elements that resonate in first and second communications bands. The antenna structures may also contain parasitic antenna elements such as elements that are operative in only the first or second communications band and elements that are operative in both the first and second communications bands. The antenna resonating elements and parasitic elements may be mounted on a common dielectric carrier. The dielectric carrier may be mounted within a slot or other opening in a conductive element. The conductive element may be formed from conductive housing structures in an electronic device such as a portable computer. The portable computer may have a clutch barrel with a dielectric cover. The dielectric cover may overlap and cover the slot and the dielectric carrier.
