    摘要: A locker for securing one or more tensioning members and a method of using the same is described. The locker includes a locker body having a passageway through which tensioning members extend. A movable member is coupled to the locker body and traverses the passageway. The movable member is movable between a latent position within the passageway in which the one or more tensioning members are movable relative to the locker body and an activated position within the passageway in which the one or more tensioning members are locked relative to the locker body. A hub surrounds the locker body such that the locker body is retractable with respect to the hub. Retraction of the locker body causes the movable member to move distally from the first position to the second position.

    摘要: An intravascular ultrasound catheter system is provided and enables a simplified, economical technique for ultrasound visualization of a blood vessel. The catheter may include a park ablation system for crossing chronic total occlusions and severe stenoses. The catheter is advanceable and is oriented entirely under manual control of the clinician and the application of radiofrequency energy for spark erosion of the stenosis also is controlled manually by the clinician. The system enables the clinician to observe an ultrasound image sufficiently to determine where to orient the ablation electrode so as to reduce the risk of dissection or perforation of the blood vessel. The ultrasound image is generated in response to manual rotation of the catheter and the ablation spark is generated only when the physician is satisfied as to the orientation of the electrode within the vessel.

    摘要: The invention provides a variety of catheters and methods for using such catheters. An exemplary catheter includes an elongate body having a proximal end a distal end. The elongate body defines a longitudinal axis of the catheter. The exemplary catheter further includes at least one inflatable member disposed on the elongate body proximate the distal end of the elongate body. The interior of the inflatable member is in fluid communication with an inflation lumen in the elongate body. The exemplary catheter also includes a first filter adapted and configured to capture emboli in a patient's bloodstream as the bloodstream passes through the first filter along a first direction. The exemplary catheter further includes a second filter adapted and configured to capture emboli in a patient's bloodstream as the bloodstream passes through the second filter along a second direction, wherein the second direction is generally opposite to the first direction.
