摘要： Disclosed herein are a variety of embodiments of compositions and methods which are each adapted for use by a companion animal. In one embodiment, an edible composition comprising an amount of a soluble mineral component is disclosed, wherein the soluble mineral component comprises one or more minerals selected from the group consisting of zinc, manganese, tin, copper, and mixtures thereof, wherein the amount is an effective amount for use as an oral medicament. In further embodiments, a phosphate component is included. The edible compositions are advantageously companion animal foods or supplements. Further disclosed are methods selected from treating oral cavity tartar, oral cavity plaque, periodontal disease, gingivitis, breath odor and combinations thereof comprising orally administering a described composition to a companion animal.

A package for the supplement can comprise a secondary container housing a primary container, which houses a supplement. An array of packages is also provided.

摘要： Disclosed are oral formulations contained in physically separated compartments of a dentifrice dispenser, comprising a first dentifrice composition and a second dentifrice composition. The first dentifrice composition comprises an effective amount of one or more linear polyphosphates having an average chain length of about 4 or more, an effective amount of a buffering agents, and one or more aqueous carriers, wherein the first dentifrice composition has a total water content of from about 5% to about 20%. The second dentifrice compsoition comprises a soluble fluoride ion source, an effective amount of a buffering agents, and one or more aqueous carriers.
