    摘要: In a magnetic disk device including a magnetic disk coated with a lubricant, a face of a magnetic head slider, at a trailing side of the slider, is constructed so that all or part of an outer region adjoining other faces is made less wettable than other regions present at the trailing side face. For example, the trailing side face 13 of the magnetic head slider 8 has a protrusion 12 at both upper and lower ends of the face 13. Surface wettability of a face 12a forming the top of one of the protrusions 12 is reduced below surface wettability of other regions (a face 12c orthogonal to the face 12a, and a region 11). In addition, the other regions each have surface wettability that allows any sticking droplets of the lubricant to provide a sufficient wetting spread, but to such an extent that the droplets do not fall.This prevents a wetting spread of the lubricant to an air bearing surface, and hence, a fall of the lubricant from the magnetic head slider. Reliability is therefore enhanced.

    摘要: The structure is made such that an aerodynamic latch is provided in an outer portion of a magnetic disc, a front end portion exposed to a wind in the aerodynamic latch is formed to be shorter than an outer peripheral surface of the magnetic disc, and the wind receiving portion of the aerodynamic latch moves an air stream outlet from an end surface of the magnetic disc and a shroud in a direction of forming a flow passage for passing through a portion apart from the magnetic disc. Accordingly, a stable aerodynamic latch drive can be achieved and an air stream within the disc is not disturbed, so that it is possible to reduce a flutter and a consumed electric power.

    摘要: In a grid structure for a color picture tube of the type comprised of a pair of elongated frame elements disposed in substantially parallel, spaced apart relation at the top and bottom, respectively, of the grid structure, a pair of mechanically resilient brace members having mid-portions extending between the frame elements at the opposite sides of the grid structure and end portions affixed to the frame elements for maintaining the latter in their spaced apart relation, and a plurality of grid wires defining slits therebetween extending between the frame elements and being welded or otherwise affixed to the latter adjacent the opposite ends of the grid wires while the grid wires are longitudinally tensioned and the brace members are prestressed by forces acting on the frame elements in the directions to urge the frame elements toward each other; each brace member has a cross-sectional shape, such as, a rectangular shape, providing different section moduli in respect to correspondingly different axes passing through the centroid of the cross-sectional shape, and the mid-portion of each brace member is disposed so that an axis of the cross-sectional shape thereof which passes through the centroid at right angles to the axis about which there is a maximum section modulus is disposed in a plane containing the lines of action of the forces which act on the frame elements at predetermined points adjacent the respective end portions of the frame elements, for example, the points at which forces are applied to the frame elements for prestressing the brace members during the affixing of the grid wires to the frame elements.

    摘要: A step height is provided in an upper surface of a nozzle plate. Plural pairs of nozzle holes are provided in the nozzle plate, and thereby a liquid film is formed with fuel liquid columns injected from each pair of nozzle holes. In one nozzle hole, as the step height is placed in the vicinity of the nozzle hole, the direction of the fuel flow is changed to a direction along the surface of the step height, and a swirl flow is formed at its inlet. On the other hand, as the other nozzle hole is away from the step height, thereby a uniform inflow without swirl flow is formed. As a result, the shape of the liquid film is changed to a predetermined pattern liquid film by increase of the pressure.

The magnetic head slider has a wettability, in at least a part of an outer region defined on the trailing side face and adjoining other faces including the air bearing surface face of the magnetic head slider, which is lower than a wettability of at least one other region present at the trailing side face.
