Abstract:
Methods and delivery devices for maximizing injectate dispersion in lesioned tissue using needle-based injection devices are herein disclosed. The delivery devices include injection devices with various needle arrays and/or modified needle tip configurations. The needle tip configurations can include linear, hooked or corkscrew tips and/or multiple circumferential openings.
Abstract:
Devices, methods, and kits for removing material from a body lumen. The devices and methods may be used in a variety of body lumens, including but not limited to coronary arteries and other blood vessels. In general, the device or catheter has a scoop-shaped cutting blade mounted on a catheter body for removing material from a body lumen. The cutting blade has a cutting edge that travels a curved path about a pivot point of the blade, preferably moving in an outward direction from the catheter body to engage the target material for removal. The scoop-shaped blade has a collection surface located behind the cutting edge to collect material removed from said body lumen. Advantageously, a scoop-shaped cutting blade according to the present invention facilitates material engagement and the collection surface may be used to bring material back into the catheter body as the blade begins to part-off material. The cutting blade is usually mounted to move in an inward direction towards the catheter body after the cutting edge has engaged the material. The cutting blade can also more easily engage occlusive material that is compressed against the body lumen wall.
Abstract:
A device for use in a process that involves accessing an epidural space includes an elongated member having a distal end and a proximal end, a sensor located at the distal end of the elongated member, a handle coupled to the proximal end of the elongated member, and an indicator coupled to the sensor, wherein the indicator is configured to provide a sensory indication for assisting a user to identify a desired entry path to access an epidural space, wherein the indicator is configured to provide the sensory indication based at least in part on a signal received from the sensor.

Abstract:
A verification system which can be used over electronic networks, such as the Internet, to help prevent phishing, electronic identity theft, and similar illicit activities, by verifying the authenticity of electronic entities (for example, websites). Users and electronic entities register with an authenticating entity. The authenticating entity shares an encryption method with registered electronic entities and establishes a secret code for each registered electronic entity. The secret code is combined with other information and encrypted before being transmitted over the network to ensure that the secret code cannot be compromised. Also disclosed are systems for virtual token devices, which provided object-based authentication without a physical device. Also disclosed are dynamic media credentials, which display nearly-unique behavior, previously specified and known to a user, to assist in verifying the authenticity of the presenter.
Abstract:
A device for use in a process that involves accessing a bodily space includes a flexible tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and a channel extending between the proximal and distal ends of the flexible tube, and a tissue engagement device coupled to the distal end of the flexible tube, wherein the tissue engagement device comprises a body with threads and a port located on the body, the port being in fluid communication with the channel of the flexible tube.
