    摘要： A disposable seal assembly for use with a reusable cannula preferably includes a flapper valve fluid seal and at least one instrument seal. The instrument seal has a sacrificial flange and a sealing flange that protrude from an inner baffle connected to the assembly's main body by a flexible outer baffle, and at least one elastomeric rib extending between the inner baffle and the body to prevent inversion of the inner baffle. Preferably, a surface of the sacrificial flange is configured to prevent the flanges from sticking together during use. An adaptor, tethered to the assembly's main body, has a central channel with an hourglass profile, a concave distal flange, distal bumpers for preventing the adaptor from translating too far into the main body, and a grip portion shaped to allow a user conveniently to separate the adaptor from the main body. Other aspects include systems with a reusable cannula, and methods for using such systems.

    摘要： Methods of performing an anastomosis. A ring is installed at an incision or other orifice in a vessel or other organ, for use in performing an anastomosis. To install the ring, tines are advanced against an anvil to cause them to grab tissue around the orifice and curl radially. The anvil is then retracted to fold the tines so their curled ends move radially outward. A sleeve may be advanced to fold or bend the tines as their curled ends move further radially outward. The folding, curling, and further bending of the tines evert tissue near the orifice edges to expose the vessel's or organs' intima.

The burr opening is located about a distal surface and side surface of the distal housing. The distal housing is configured to bend or pivot with respect to a proximal housing. The proximal housing comprises an auger hole configured to draw fluid and particulate matter for transport proximally along the length of the tissue removal system. A linkage assembly attaches a drive shaft of the tissue removal assembly to the rotatable burr element to permit rotation of the rotatable burr element when the distal housing is bent or pivoted.

    摘要： A bedcovering with an expandable center extension of fabric for accommodating an animal pet while sleeping. The bedcovering accommodates a pet, such as a dog, in sleeping on the bed without depriving human occupants of bed coverings. The bedcovering is comprised of two side panels affixed longitudinally to a central panel extension. Further, on each side panel, proximal to the center panel extension is a longitudinal attachment means. The two attachment means mate together to allow the center extension to be collapsed and hidden beneath the two side panels, giving the appearance of a standard bed covering. Non-pet owners who desire extended bed coverings may also use the present invention.
