An extrusion conveying device having an extruder for the mixing of components, in particular a rubber mixture or TPE. A volumetrically operating conveyor, especially a gear pump, is disposed at the output side of the extruder. A subsidiary conveyor supplies to the extruder at least one component having a marker substance. A detection device for the marker substance is disposed on the output side of the extruder and/or the volumetrically operating conveyor for detecting the distribution quality of the marker substance. A control device is coupled to the detection device for adjusting the speed of the extruder and/or the volumetrically operating conveyor in response to the detected distribution quality of the marker substance detected by the detection device.

In a process for fashioning a portion of a profiled bead (2), which has been extruded onto an object, in particular a pane (1), fastened in a treatment station (E), in which process an initially shapeless accumulation of material (4) is produced in the portion in question, which accumulation of material is given a final shape corresponding to the uniform cross section, of the profiled bead (2) by means of a moving tool (5), any excess material being expelled in order to be removed, the mass of material (4) is produced by the superposition of two portions of the extruded strip, the second portion being deposited after the die (D) has been moved and repositioned. Advantageously, the tool (5) is, according to the invention, automatically aligned on the profiled bead (2), immediately after the accumulated material (4) has been extruded and after the extrusion die (D) has continued its travel, without moving the object, and is brought into contact with this bead. Also described is a device especially suitable for implementing this process.

A tread band applicator device is provided for building a tread band on a tire carcass and includes a press applicator head for applying a tread band raw material mass onto the tire carcass as the tire carcass is rotated. The press applicator head is movable along the direction of the axis of rotation of the tire carcass in correspondence with the curvature of the outer surface of the tire carcass and is operable to apply the tread band raw material in a width which is less than the width of the tire carcass. The press applicator head is a component of an extruder which is mounted for movement about a plurality of axes.

An extruder of the Transfermix type comprises a barrel in which a screw rotates for transporting and mixing visco-elastic compounds. The extruder has an inlet, a compression section, a plasticizing section and an exit section. The plasticizing section is of the Transfermix type, in which a helical groove in the screw varies in cross section from full area to zero area, while the cross section of an oppositely handed helical groove in the barrel varies from zero to full area. A return section follows the plasticizing section, and the operative contact-surface of the return section is formed by a sleeve which forms a cylindrical gap between the sleeve and the screw, the sleeve being axially movable to close or open the gap to produce a continuously adjustable throttle.

A tire building device includes a building drum for applying an inner liner thereon and a winding device for tire cords wherein the building drum is mounted to a drive shaft only on one of its sides, the drive shaft side. The winding device winds the tire cords onto the inner liner in the final shape also on completion of the tire. The winding device, substantially radially, winds the tire cords on the free side opposite the drive shaft transversely across the building drum and past the drive shaft on the drive shaft side.

The extrusion device also comprises a nozzle having two nozzle dies that are displaceable relative to one another. Furthermore, the extrusion device comprises a reinforcing material feeder for conveying reinforcing material in the direction of the nozzle, via which reinforcing material and extrudable material are discharged together from the extrusion device. The reinforcing material is guided in a horizontal plane of separation.

The screw extruder comprises an outlet connection that is coupled to a gear pump and further comprises an extruder screw. The outlet connection is arranged adjacent on the side of the extruder screw and a detachable cover or lid is arranged at the front side of the extruder screw.

An extrusion apparatus is provided having an extrusion worm with a threaded exterior passage and rotatably driven by a drive shaft operatively couplable with a drive motor for driving rotation of the drive shaft. A feed in device feeds to the extrusion apparatus material that is to be extruded. The extrusion device includes a socket having a threaded interior passage, the socket receiving therein the extrusion worm in at least partial axial overlap such that material to be extruded passes between and in contact with the threaded exterior passage of the extrusion worm and with the threaded interior passage of the socket. The rate of rotation of the socket and the rate of rotation of the extrusion worm are independently adjustable relative to one another.

In a window (1), which is intended in particular to be fitted in a bodywork opening (11) of a vehicle, which is equipped on at least a main surface, intended to face inwards in the fitted state, with a profiled bead (2) which comprises, as lateral covering attachment, a lip (5) projecting beyond the edge of the pane (1) with a sealing rib (7) which can be applied against an adjacent wall part (13) when the window is fitted, there is provided on the lip (5), according to the invention, parallel to the first sealing rib (6) which can be applied against the wall part (13), at least one second sealing rib (7) which can be applied against the edge (21) of the window without adhesion contact. In this way, a covering of the lateral space is obtained effecting in practice a closure flush with the main surface of the pane and with the adjacent wall or bodywork surface.
Abstract:
An automobile glass pane is provided with a frame molding of a polymer. The molding has a portion with a U-like cross section. In this portion, an adhesive bead is introduced, the bead serves for bonding the glass pane to the attachment flange of the window opening in the vehicle bodywork. The lateral limbs of the U-like portion of the molding are internally provided with anchoring projections for mechanically holding the adhesive bead in place between the limbs without any separate adhesive or bonding.
