In certain embodiments, the high molecular weight base polymer and the relatively low molecular weight ester copolymer are both selected from ethylene-based copolymers such as ethylene-vinyl acetate and ethylene-n-butyl acrylate.

The adhesive comprises polyolefin base polymer and from 1 to 15 wt % of a at least two wax components, based on the total weight of the polyolefin base polymer and the at least two wax components, wherein the at least two wax components comprise a first wax component having a relatively low weight average molecular weight at least 1000 g/mole less than a second wax component having a relatively high weight average molecular weight. The adhesive may have at least 50% fiber tear at 25° C., and a characteristic set time of less than 3 seconds. The adhesive may also include from 1 to 10 wt % of at least one functionalized polyolefin.
