The present invention provides an optical detection system comprising an illumination unit and a detection unit. The illumination unit comprises two laser beams of two different wavelengths. One beam is used to excite targeted molecules in a sample to their excited states. The other beam is used to induce the excited molecules in the sample to generate a stimulated emission signal. The stimulated emission signal can be used for long-distance detection due to its coherent property. Its extraction from the detection unit can be realized by demodulating the second beam's intensity change.

The invention is a frequency stabilized passive Q-switch laser, which has the advantages of small volume, simple structure, no need for high power voltage, etc. It has been a long time that timing jitter in conventional lasers is so large that they can not be applied to fields such as distance measurement. This invention utilizes an optical external modulation method to stabilize the repetition rate of the passive Q-switch, and thus to decrease its timing jitter. At the same time, the repetition rate of the Q-switch laser can be controlled by the same technology to meet various application needs.

Disclosed is a transfection method, which includes the steps of: (a) adhering the gene fragments to dry ice particles; (b) adding the dry ice particles into the medium/liquid that contains target cells; and (c) transporting the gene fragments into the target cells via the micro explosion/sublimation of the dry ice particles. In addition, the gene fragments can also adhere first to nanoparticles, which can then adhere to dry ice particles. Subsequently, gene fragments enter cells by micro explosion/sublimation. The present invention can be applied in transgenic research on prokaryotic, eukaryotic, plant and animal cells and in the development of new species in agriculture.
