摘要:
The present invention is directed to processes for preparing supported metal catalysts comprising one or more catalytically active metals applied to a porous catalyst support and to processes that use such catalysts. The process requires the formation of an organic complex during the manufacture of the catalyst which after its formation is either partially or fully decomposed before reduction if the metal to form the catalyst. The catalysts have high levels of metal dispersion and uniform distribution of catalytically active metals on the support. The catalysts obtained form the processes are particularly effective in catalysing Fischer-Tropsch reactions and as adsorbants for the removal or organosulfur compounds from hydrocarbons.

This invention relates to supported activators comprising the product of the combination of an ion-exchange layered silicate, an organoaluminum compound, and a heterocyclic compound, which may be substituted or unsubstituted. This invention further relates to catalyst systems comprising catalyst compounds and such activators, as well as processes to polymerize unsaturated monomers using the supported activators. For the purposes of this patent specification and the claims thereto, the term “activator” is used interchangeably with the term “co-catalyst”, the term “catalyst” refers to a metal compound that when combined with an activator polymerizes olefins, and the term “catalyst system” refers to the combination of a catalyst and an activator with or without a support. The terms “support” or “carrier”, for purposes of this patent specification, are used interchangeably and are any ion-exchange layered silicates.
摘要:
A method for the preparation of olefin polymerization catalysts that are the reaction products of the catalytic reaction of surface hydroxyls of a support with a trialkyl silane to afford hydrogen and the corresponding surface bound alkyl silyl ether and at the same time with a strong Lewis acid which support is converted to a silica bound anion that in a second step is fully converted by reaction with QM2 to the desired catalyst. Catalyst compositions are disclosed herein. Processes disclosed herein include processes for the polymerization of olefinically unsaturated monomers comprising contacting a plurality of one or more of the monomers with the catalyst.

In a process for selectively separating 1-butene from a C4 feed stream comprising at least 1-butene, cis-2-butene and trans-2-butene, the feed stream is passed through a first bed of an adsorbent comprising a crystalline microporous material to form a substantially trans-2-butene-free effluent stream. Then, the substantially trans-2-butene-free effluent stream is passed through a second bed of an adsorbent comprising a crystalline microporous material to form a substantially 1-butene-free effluent stream, whereby the 1-butene is separated from the feed stream. The adsorbed 1-butene is then typically desorbed from the second adsorbent bed either by lowering the pressure or raising the temperature of the bed.
