Abstract:
The present invention relates to a spray-polyurethane system which comprises a polyol component (A) and an isocyanate component (B), where the polyol component (A) comprises a1) at least one compound reactive with isocyanate, a2) at least one reactive chain extender having at least two groups reactive toward isocyanates, where at least one group reactive toward isocyanates is a free, primary NH2 group, and also a3) at least one metal catalyst, and a4) if appropriate, further additives, where the spray-polyurethane system comprises no amine catalyst. The present invention moreover relates to a process for production of a backing layer composed of polyurethane for moldings and to the use of this backing layer for production of automobile parts. Inventive backing layers have good mechanical properties, and low emissions, and their demolding time is small when compared with the open assembly time.
Abstract:
The invention provides composite components constructed of a layer i) comprising short fiber reinforced PU and having a paintable surface, and a layer ii) comprising long fiber reinforced polyurethane, and also provides a process for producing them, and provides for their use as exterior bodywork parts.
Abstract:
In a process for producing self-releasing, compact or cellular moldings which comprise polyisocyanate polyaddition products and may contain reinforcing material by reacting a) organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates with b) at least one compound containing at least two reactive hydrogen atoms and having a molecular weight of from 62 to 10,000 and, if desired, c) chain extenders and/or crosslinkers in the presence of d) internal mold release agents and in the presence of or absence of e) catalysts, f) blowing agents, g) reinforcing materials and h) auxiliaries in an open or closed mold, the internal mold release agents (d) used are diesters and/or monoesters of alkylsuccinic acids and/or diesters and/or monoesters of alkenylsuccinic acids.

Abstract:
A bumper assembly for a motor vehicle is disclosed which can be fastened via at least one supporting element and, by means of a screw connection, on a part fixed to the vehicle. A foam energy absorber is provided on which the at least one supporting element is mounted. The supporting element, which reaches virtually over the entire height of the energy absorber, is designed approximately in the form of an umbrella. The umbrella edge, which terminates flatly, bears on the part fixed to the vehicle and, at a distance from the umbrella edge on the underside of the supporting element, supporting webs are provided which are likewise supported on the part fixed to the vehicle.
