Abstract:
A mesh delivery system for controlling electricity supplied to one or more electrical devices from a power source are disclosed. Signals relating to characteristics of the electrical devices are uniformly or non-uniformly sampled at discrete intervals are provided along with associated sampling time indications via the mesh network to a destination controller.
Abstract:
An aqueous agrochemical composition and in particular an agrochemical concentrate comprises (a) a non-encapsulated aqueous solution or dispersion of an agrochemical and (b) a suspension in said aqueous solution or dispension of a microencapsulated liquid, water-insoluble, bioperformance-enhancing adjuvant for said agrochemical. The adjuvant suitably has little or no surfactant properties. The invention permits oil adjuvants such as “Turbocharge” and “Brij 92” to be built into agrochemical compositions with which they would normally be incompatible. With certain adjuvants reduced phytotoxicity may be observed.
Abstract:
An air capture turbine comprises a centrifugal fan having a plurality of fan blades and a wall from which the blades extend, and a cowling having an inner wall. The centrifugal fan housed to the inside of the inner wall of the cowling. The centrifugal fan has a ring gear mounted on a lower side thereof, the turbine further comprising at least three energy converters, each including a gear wheel for engaging the ring gear. The weight of the centrifugal fan is supported by the at least three energy converters, and the inner wall of the cowling has a plurality of openings formed therein and closure members for selectively closing one or more of the plurality of openings, the openings providing or ingress and egress of air flowing in the direction of a prevailing wind to and from the centrifugal fan and the closure members protecting fan blades moving towards the direction of the prevailing wind from being engaged by air moving in that direction.
Abstract:
A composition comprising a compound of formula (I) CH3CH(OH)C(═O)NR1R2 where R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen; or C1-6 alkyl, C2-6 alkenyl or C3-6 cycloalkyl, each of which is optionally substituted by up to three substituents independently selected from phenyl, hydroxy, C1-5 alkoxy, morpholinyl and NR3R4 where R3 and R4 are each independently C1-3 alkyl; or phenyl optionally substituted by up to three substituents independently selected from C1-3 alkyl; or R1 and R2 together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached form a morpholinyl, pyrrolidinyl, piperidinyl or azepanyl ring, each of which is optionally substituted by up to three substituents independently selected from C1-3 alkyl; and at least one biologically active compound, which comprises at least one aromatic five and/or six membered ring wherein the ring contains at least one nitrogen as a ring member, with the provisos (i) that the composition does not contain cyproconazole when the compound of formula (1) is selected from the group consisting of N-butoxypropyl lactamide; 1-(hydroxyethyl) piperidinyl lactamide; N-methyl-N-propyl lactamide; N-(1-ethylpropyl) lactamide; N,N-dimethyl lactamide; N-1,4-dimethylpentyl lactamide; N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-benzyl lactamide; N-Morpholinyl lactamide; N-methyl-N-butyl lactamide; N-Isobutyl lactamide; N-AlIyI lactamide; N-Ethyl lactamide; N-Ethyl-N-(2-hydroxyethyl) lactamide; and N-isopropyl lactamide; and (ii) that the biologically active compound is not nicotinic acid when the compound of formula (1) is diethyl-lactamide. Such compositions may be, or may be comprised by, emulsion concentrates, particularly so in the case that the compound of formula (I) is dimethyl lactamide and the biologically active compound is the fungicide 3-difluoromethyl-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid(9-isopropyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,4-methano-naphthalen-5-yl)-amide shown in FIG. 2.
Abstract:
A computing device including a processor operable to process data at a processing speed and a storage device in communication with the processor operable to retrieve stored data at a data transfer rate, where the data transfer rate matches the processing speed.
Abstract:
A system and process includes continuously determining an applied armature voltage supplied to a polyphase synchronous machine for which a maximum mechanical load is characterized by a pull-out torque. The armature voltage is supplied from a power source via one of many taps of a regulating transformer. The armature voltage being supplied from the power source to the machine is changed by selecting one of the voltage levels from the taps of the regulating transformer. The tap voltage levels are selected based on the determined applied armature voltage to minimize power consumption of the machine while ensuring based on a predetermined confidence level that the pull-out torque of the machine will not be exceeded.
Abstract:
A process for the treatment of irradiated fissile material in solution in nitric acid in which tributylphosphate diluted to less than 7% by volume with an inert diluent is contacted with the nitric acid solution and backwashed with sulphuric acid.

Abstract:
A system and method to optimize runahead operation for a processor without use of a separate explicit runahead cache structure. Rather than simply dropping store instructions in a processor runahead mode, store instructions write their results in an existing processor store queue, although store instructions are not allowed to update processor caches and system memory. Use of the store queue during runahead mode to hold store instruction results allows more recent runahead load instructions to search retired store queue entries in the store queue for matching addresses to utilize data from the retired, but still searchable, store instructions. Retired store instructions could be either runahead store instructions retired, or retired store instructions that executed before entering runahead mode.
