    摘要: An arrangement for reducing interference in a wireless electronic shelf label (ESL) (100) having a layered structure the ESL comprising: a display layer (101) comprising display material, a circuit board (203) with a backplane material structure and an antenna (202), and a circuit board arrangement with control electronics for controlling the operation of the label, such as the display and the radio communication, and a resilient layer having a space for a rigid component, such as a battery, wherein said resilient layer is arranged to provide a substantially even total thickness of said label (100), wherein the radio communication control further comprises means for radio frequency communication via modulated backscatter, wherein the arrangement is ring resonator arrangement isolating the ESL from the electrically conducting shelf arranged on the antenna circuit board, the ring resonator arrangement comprising a plurality of ring resonators (204) that are electrically isolated from the antenna and arranged at least on the side nearest the shelf when the ESL is attached to the shelf.

    摘要: Systems and methods for calibrating a loudspeaker with a connection to a microphone located at a listening area in a room. The loudspeaker includes self-calibration functions to adjust speaker characteristics according to effects generated by operating the loudspeaker in the room. In one example, the microphone picks up a test signal generated by the loudspeaker and the loudspeaker uses the test signal to determine the loudspeaker frequency response. The frequency response is analyzed below a selected low frequency value for a room mode. The loudspeaker generates parameters for a digital filter to compensate for the room modes. In another example, the loudspeaker may be networked with other speakers to perform calibration functions on all of the loudspeakers in the network.

    摘要: A treatment for bioprosthetic tissue used in implants or for assembled bioprosthetic heart valves to reduce in vivo calcification. The method includes applying a calcification mitigant such as a capping agent or an antioxidant to the tissue to specifically inhibit oxidation in tissue. Also, the method can be used to inhibit oxidation in dehydrated tissue. The capping agent suppresses the formation of binding sites in the tissue that are exposed or generated by the oxidation and otherwise would, upon implant, attract calcium, phosphate, immunogenic factors, or other precursors to calcification. In one method, tissue leaflets in assembled bioprosthetic heart valves are pretreated with an aldehyde capping agent prior to dehydration and sterilization.

    摘要: An architecture for providing service mediation in a network having a Layer-2 domain and an MPLS domain includes at least one Layer-2 provider edge device in communication with a first customer site; at least one Layer-2 edge device in communication with the Layer-2 provider edge device; at least one MPLS mediation edge device in communication with the Layer-2 edge device; and at least: one MPLS provider edge device in communication with both the MPLS mediation edge device and a second customer site. An end-to-end connection is established using native Layer-2 signaling, if any, in the Layer-2 domain and PWE3 signaling protocols in the MPLS domain. The MPLS mediation edge device resolves associations between Layer-2 edge devices and MPLS provider edge devices. The service is “mediated” in the sense that native Layer-2 signaling is terminated at the MME, and a new domain, i.e., pseudowire, is established across the MPLS domain.

    摘要: A wrist-worn, real-time-indicating, actual rate of ascent/decent meter includes a non-corrodable, hermetic enclosure with a window. A display, visible through the window, includes numeric rate-related indicia and arrows, both clearly visible against a contrasting backdrop. The contrast may be black on silver. A hysterisis-free transducer in the enclosure produces first signals proportional to the ambient pressure. The first signals are converted to second signals representing depth in the ambient, the latter signals being periodically sampled. Each sample is compared to the previous sample and third rate-of-change-of-depth-with-time signals result from successive comparisons. The third signals are displayed numerically and direction (ascending or descending) is indicated by the arrows. Signal processing is controlled and performed by a microprocessor within the enclosure. Facilities are provided to replace a battery and to turn the meter on and off without affecting the hermeticity of the enclosure.
