Abstract: In some examples, a network device receives first indicators of performances of a plurality of computing environments, and receives second indicators of performances of a plurality of network paths from the network device to the computing environments. The network device aggregates the first indicators and second indicators to produce aggregate indicators of performances of the network paths. The network device selects, based on the aggregate indicators, a selected network path of the plurality of network paths for communication of data through the network device between a client and a computing environment of the plurality of computing environments.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for effectuating centralized intelligent power management, where a centralized intelligent power management system receives power delivery information from power sources and power management profiles associated with devices that receive/are to receive power from such power sources. The centralized intelligent power management system can determine a given feature set support by a device, yet remains within the power delivery budget of a power source. Such a feature set can be represented as a configuration that is transmitted from the centralized intelligent power management system to a device. Upon configuring/re-configuring itself, the device may now provide the given feature set while remaining within the power constraints of its power source.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for optical devices with integrated memristor behavior adapted for non-volatile retention of phase tuning. Examples include an optical filter having a first waveguide formed on a substrate and a phase shift mechanism coupled to the first waveguide. The phase shift mechanism comprises a semiconductor material layer bonded the first waveguide, and a filamentation layer formed between the first waveguide and the semiconductor material based on applying an electric field to the phase shift mechanism. The filamentation layer causes a non-volatile change in a refractive index of the first waveguide, that provides for phase detuning.

Abstract: The disclosure generally provides for a method of solving a K-SAT problem. The method comprises programming one or more clauses of a Boolean expression for a K-SAT problem written in negated disjunctive normal form (DNF) to a ternary-CAM (TCAM) array comprising columns and rows of TCAM cells, applying an interpretation comprising one or more binary variables expected to solve the Boolean expression as an input along the columns to the TCAM array, returning a binary value for each clause and updating one or more variables within the interpretation if at least one clause is violated.

Abstract: Examples of cloud-based provisioning of a computing system are disclosed. In an example, a baseboard management controller (BMC) of the computing system may be configured to establish a secure cloud provisioning connection between a cloud manager and the BMC. UEFI configuration may be received from the cloud manager over the secure cloud provisioning connection. A UEFI shell may be executed during a startup of the computing system initiated by the cloud manager. Based on the UEFI configuration, a provisioning proxy server communicatively coupled to a cloud repository may be identified. A startup script may be requested from the cloud repository over a network connection using a UEFI network stack. The startup script may download an image file via the provisioning proxy server from the cloud repository over the network connection and provision the computing system from the image file.

Abstract: A system and method are provided to detect an event corresponding to the system powering up or a storage device being inserted into the backplane. In response to detecting the event, the system obtains configuration information associated with a physical topology of the backplane, the configuration information associated with: a first bus between a storage controller and a redriver; a second bus between the redriver and the storage device; the backplane; and the storage device. The system searches, in a data structure based on the configuration information, for an optimized redriver setting. The system activates, based on the optimized setting, the redriver by enhancing signals sent via the second bus to the storage device and by enhancing signals sent via the first bus to the storage controller, thereby facilitating enhancement of signal integrity between the storage components in the backplane.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for customized grouping of end user devices using a new group identifier tag (GIT) in addition to role-based access (e.g., administrator or guest) and device identifier access (e.g., IP or MAC address). Two components may be implemented at a network access device, including a data plane component and a control plane component. For example, the control plane component may authenticate an end user device, store the MAC and IP addresses for authenticated end user devices, and define access roles for the end user device in the datapath. The data plane component may perform packet processing (e.g., forwarding and policy enforcement) pursuant to previously-defined rules. Whenever a packet arrives at the Network Access Device, the packet is forwarded according to the rules specified by the “role” and GIT present in the entry, allowing for improved processing and scalability of network traffic processing.
