摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling an Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) reset in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. The apparatus includes an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) sender for receiving one or more data from a transmitter, a controller for determining whether the data is received in order and a memory for constituting selective reset information according to a result of the determining. The method includes receiving one or more data from a transmitter, determining whether the data is received in order and constituting selective reset information according to a result of the checking. Hence, the performance degradation can be prevented by shortening the TCP timeout and the break time (the time of no traffic transmission).

摘要: A method and apparatus for providing a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service using a Payload Header Suppression (PHS) method in a mobile communication system are provided. The method includes extracting header information by analyzing a Session Description Protocol (SDP) offer message that is included in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling message received from a Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) system, generating a Classification (CS) rule based on the extracted header information, determining whether to generate a new service flow based on the extracted header information, generating a PHS rule using a Dynamic Service Addition (DSA) when the new service flow is generated, and generating the PHS rule using a Dynamic Service Change (DSC) when the new service flow is not generated, and transmitting the generated CS rule and PHS rule to the WiMAX system.

摘要: A method and apparatus improve the performance of a carrier amplifier in a Doherty amplifier. The Doherty amplifier includes a power divider, a carrier amplifier, at least one peaking amplifier, offset lines, and a Doherty circuit. The power divider provides a power signal to each of the carrier amplifier and the at least one peaking amplifier. The carrier amplifier amplifies power of a signal inputted from the power divider. The at least one peaking amplifier amplifies power of a signal inputted from the power divider. The offset lines control a load impedance when the at least one peaking amplifier does not operate. When the at least one peaking amplifier does not operate, the Doherty circuit generates the load impedance of the carrier amplifier that is larger than twice a load impedance at the maximum output power of the carrier amplifier.

摘要: An apparatus and method for compensating Quality of Service (QoS) during a handover of a Mobile Station (MS) by a serving Base Station (BS) and a target BS in a wireless broadband access system are provided. The method includes generating a message during a handover from the serving BS to a target BS, the message including at least one of a data transmission/reception time just before the handover, a size of a time window for which a data transmission/reception history is recorded in an accumulated way, and an amount of data transmitted/received during the time window, and transmitting the message to the target BS. The target BS can more accurately find a handover break time and the amount of data transmission/reception in the serving BS at the time the MS has been handed over to the target BS, enabling fast and adequate QoS compensation/correction for each QoS class, and thus facilitating flexible, efficient and accurate QoS provisioning regardless of controlled handover and uncontrolled handover.

摘要: A method and apparatus for managing a buffer of a Radio Access Station (RAS) in a communication system are provided. An available buffer space determiner sets a threshold for each service class for scheduling packet input/output of the buffer according to priority of a service class, estimates and stores, upon receipt of a packet at the buffer, an available space size of the buffer after the packet reception, compares the estimated available space size of the buffer with a first threshold corresponding to a first service class indicative of a service class of the packet, and schedules packet input/output of the buffer according to the comparison result. A processor module schedules packet input/output of the buffer according to an output of the available buffer space determiner. The present invention can improve quality of services through service differentiation based on priorities of service classes and buffer management based on characteristics of the corresponding service traffics.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of preparing mono-iodo benzene with a transiodination reaction, and more preferably a method of preparing mono-iodo benzene including a step of performing transiodination of a reactant including benzene and at least a multi-iodo benzene selected from the group consisting of di-iodo benzene and tri-iodo benzene with an HY or HBeta type of zeolite having a Si/Al molar ratio of 10 to 100 as a catalyst. The method of the present invention has an advantage that iodine is recovered from by-products including m-di-iodo benzene, o-di-iodo benzene, and tri-iodo benzene obtained in the process of preparing p-di-iodo benzene, thereby resulting in minimizing the loss of iodine.
