    摘要: A wavelength selective polarization controller capable of controlling the polarization plane of optical wavelength multiplexing signals, for each wavelength component, and which does not generate time lag between each component is provided. This wavelength selective polarization controller has: a telecentric optical system to which optical wavelength multiplexing signals are incident; a polarization controller that controls the polarization plane of light output from the telecentric optical system; and an output optical system for outputting to an optical path output from the polarization controller. The telecentric optical system has: a first diffraction grating to which the optical wavelength multiplexing signals are incident; and a first condenser that condenses the optical wavelength multiplexing signals that have passed through the diffraction grating. The polarization controller has a plurality of phase modulators.

    摘要: In a liquid crystal display device enabling three-dimensional display using a liquid crystal lens, both mechanical strength and a liquid crystal lens effect are satisfied. The liquid crystal lens is bonded onto an upper polarizing plate of a liquid crystal display panel with a bonding material. The liquid crystal lens includes an upper substrate, a lower substrate and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched therebetween. The upper substrate of liquid crystal lens has a thickness larger than a total of the thickness of the lower substrate of the liquid crystal lens and the thickness of the liquid crystal display panel. Thereby, it is possible to realize a liquid crystal display device satisfying both the mechanical strength and liquid crystal lens effect.

    摘要: An electrical connector to be connected to a flat conductive member includes a housing including an upper wall and a lower wall; a terminal including a contact portion for contacting with the flat conductive member; and an engaging protrusion for engaging the flat conductive member. The housing further includes a receptacle portion between the upper wall and the lower wall for receiving the flat conductive member. The upper wall includes a cut portion. The engaging protrusion is situated under the cut portion, so that an edge portion of the flat conductive member moves over the engaging protrusion and deforms into the cut portion when the flat conductive member is inserted into the receptacle portion.

    摘要: Only the light at an overlapping wavelength of the transmission characteristics of at least two wavelength selecting filters is looped, and at least one of the wavelength selecting filters varies a selected wavelength. Since a loss due to the optical filters is small and there is not a loss caused by a highly reflecting film, the output of an external-resonator variable-wavelength laser can be increased. Optical circuit component (8) divides light input from external device (1) into at least two ports. Loop waveguide (11) interconnects at least ports (9, 10) divided by optical circuit component (8) in the form of a loop. At least two first wavelength selecting filters (12, 13) are inserted in series in a path of loop waveguide (11), and have periodic transmission characteristics on a frequency axis which are different from each other. At least one of first wavelength selecting filters (12, 13) varies the selected wavelength.
