Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-axis atom interferometer system, including a source of cold atoms, a laser source generating a first light pulse configured in such a way as to spatially split the source of cold atoms into a first cloud of atoms propagating along a first trajectory along a first axis and a second cloud of atoms propagating along a second trajectory along a second axis, a second light pulse adapted to spatially deflect the first trajectory along the second axis and simultaneously the second trajectory along the first axis towards a first point and a last light pulse adapted to recombine the at least one part of the first cloud of atoms and the at least one part of the second cloud of atoms at the first point, and a detection system measuring an interferometric phase-shift accumulated between the first light pulse and the last light pulse.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for interaction between a laser beam and a hyperfine energy transition of a chemical species. The device further includes an electro-optic modulator with a single sideband with an input optical waveguide suitable for receiving a source laser beam and an output optical waveguide suitable for generating an output laser beam and an electronic system suitable for generating and applying, simultaneously, a first modulated electrical signal, sin(Ω1t)) to a first hyperfrequency pulse on a first high-frequency electrode of the electro-optic modulator and, respectively, another modulated electrical signal, cos(Ω1t)) to the first pulse on another high-frequency electrode of the electro-optic modulator, in such a way as to frequency-switch the output laser beam to a first optical frequency offset from the first pulse with respect to the initial optical frequency.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for determining a difference in depth or a lateral distance in relation to the vertical between two points of an underwater environment, in particular by measuring a propagation time of a sound wave. The determination is based on a single-layer model of the environment in which the wave is supposed to propagate in a straight line along an effective propagation direction, at a mean velocity that is independent of the propagation direction. Also disclosed is a method for determining the profile of the mean velocity based on the measurements of differences in depths per se, a determination of the local velocity profile over the variation interval of the sounded depths, and a related sonar system.

Abstract: Disclosed is a positioning system including: several inertial measurement units; at least one common sensor, providing a measurement of a positioning parameter of a system; for each inertial measurement unit, a navigation filter configured to: a) determine an estimate of the positioning parameter, on the basis of an inertial signal provided by the inertial measurement unit; and to b) correct the estimate, as a function of the measurement and of a correction gain that is determined on the basis of an augmented variance higher than the variance of a measurement noise of a common sensor; and —at least one fusion module determining a mean of the estimates, the mean being not reinjected at the input of the navigation filters. Also disclosed is an associated positioning method.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for the interferometric measurement of a physical parameter, including an amplified spontaneous emission light source, optically connected to a Sagnac ring interferometer, and two detectors, each supplying a measurement signal representative of the light output from the interferometer, and a reference signal representative of the light output emitted by the source, which is impaired by an excess relative intensity noise. This measurement is obtained from a difference between the measurement and reference signals, weighted by a weighting coefficient which is controlled to minimise the statistical deviation of an additional weighted difference between signals obtained by demodulating the measurement and reference signals by way of an additional digital demodulation sequential code insensitive to the parameter. Also disclosed is a gyroscope including such a measuring system.
