    摘要: A pressure medium container for hydraulic motor vehicle braking systems, with at least one chamber which can be filled with a liquid medium via a filler neck, and with a cover which can be fastened to the filler neck and has means for equalizing the pressure between the chamber and the atmosphere, wherein a sealing element is provided to prevent the liquid medium from emerging from the chamber. The sealing element has a space exposed to the atmosphere and has one or more openings facing the chamber, the space being configured such that liquid medium penetrating the space undergoes an increase in surface area, while its volume remains constant, when displaced by means of a further gaseous medium, and, when a threshold surface tension is reached, the liquid medium is forced back into the chamber such that the gaseous medium can flow into the atmosphere via the sealing element.

    摘要: An adaptive crash structure of a vehicle body or chassis of a motor vehicle includes a first metal casting and a second metal casting. The deformation element is comprised of a plurality of funnel-shaped wedge bodies which are disposed in succession, with neighboring wedge bodies being connected through intervention of a predetermined breaking web. Each wedge body is defined by a diameter, wherein the diameters of the wedge bodies are sized to allow the wedge bodies to move telescopically into one another when a limit stress is reached and the predetermined breaking webs rupture so as to effect a tight intergrip of the telescoping wedge bodies in a self-locking manner.

    摘要: A control arm includes a connection tube and two mounting eyes respectively attached to opposite ends of the tube. Each mounting eye has a sleeve and a rubber-metal element vulcanized into the sleeve. In a method of making such a control arm, an elongate tubular member is sized to a sleeve blank of a length commensurate with the tube. Parallel thereto, an extruded profile is made with a cross sectional configuration of the sleeve and subsequently sized to the axial height of the sleeve. Rubber-metal elements are vulcanized into the sleeve blanks which together with the tube are then clamped, axially shiftable, in a friction welding machine for subsequently fabricating protruding collars on the sleeves through material removal and joining the end surfaces of the protruding collars with the end surfaces of the tube. While still clamped, the tube and the mounting eyes are calibrated through cold upsetting and the joints are smoothed.
