    摘要: A method to limit overheating of a brake equipped with an electromechanically actuable parking brake including the steps of: driving a threaded spindle by an electric motor until a power drain (Imax), corresponding to a brake application force (F), is reached; detection of a travel distance (x0) of the piston corresponding to the brake application force (F) of the brake caliper in a locked state; determination of a second travel distance (x1) by adding a further travel distance value (x11), which corresponds to the desired clearance value, to form (x0); driving of the electric motor until the second travel distance (x1) has been covered by the brake piston; and comparing the vehicle speed with a predefined first speed value, at the upward transgression of which the electric motor is driven once more in the release direction until a further, previously defined travel distance (x12) has been covered.

In order to determine a reaction force occurring during actuation, a sensor device for sensing the reaction force resulting from the actuating force applied by the actuating unit is provided between the guide piece and the brake caliper or a gearbox housing connected to the brake caliper, respectively.

    摘要: A system and method for an electromechanically actuable parking brake for motor vehicles, which is embodied as a drum brake of the “duo-servo” type. The parking brake has a brake actuating device which can be actuated by an electromechanical actuator, is designed as an expander element and acts on two brake shoes, the expander element being supported via a spring energy storage device, may be designed as a diaphragm spring assembly, and being spreadable by a predetermined length of travel, when the parking brake is actuated, to apply an application force. In order to provide a sufficiently large hot parking travel, the length of travel travelled by the expander element to apply the application force when the parking brake is actuated can be moved as a function of at least one motor vehicle state parameter.
