Abstract:
A cuboctahedron-shaped photo cube, comprised of six identically folded sheets of strong, but flexible transparent thermoplastic, assembled to allow the display of six two or three dimensional pieces of art or other objects. Each sheet has a square area, serving as a display panel and is accompanied by a backing sheet to press two-dimensional art firmly against it. Users access the interior by pulling a sheet from the structure. Art or objects are then placed inside the unit. To replace the removed sheet, one of its winged tabs is pinched with a thumb and forefinger and inserted into one of the available slots on the structure until it snaps into place. This action is repeated for the remaining aligned tabs and slots. The purpose of this invention is to present six display panels simultaneously without any being placed on the bottom, hidden from the viewer.
Abstract:
A heated light apparatus has a light source that includes at least one illumination element arranged to produce a light beam. The illumination element may be a light emitting diode. A lens assembly is positioned in front of the at least one illumination element in order to focus the light beam therefrom. The lens assembly has a defroster grid circuit that generates heat as electrical current passes therethrough. A power source provides electrical current to the light source and the lens assembly, such that the defroster grid circuit produces heat sufficient to melt ice and snow buildup on the lens assembly.
Abstract:
Method and system for measuring audio video synchronization. This is done by having a remote sensing station to measure and process the audio and images from a multimedia terminal that displays a television program. The remote sensing station uses an audio sensor to sense the audio signal from the multimedia station and an image sensor to sense the images displayed on the multimedia station. An AV processing circuit in the remote sensing terminal processes the signals from the audio sensor and the sensed images. The delay information is then communicated to the multimedia station to adjust the AV synchronization.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to fiber glass strands, yarns, fabrics, composites, prepregs, laminates, fiber-metal laminates, and other products incorporating glass fibers formed from glass compositions. The glass fibers, in some embodiments, are incorporated into composites that can be used in reinforcement applications. Glass fibers formed from some embodiments of the glass compositions can have certain desirable properties that can include, for example, desirable electrical properties (e.g. low Dk) or desirable mechanical properties (e.g., specific strength).
Abstract:
A method of labeling telecommunication cable is provided. At least one band including an indicator is provided. The bands are placed around and attach to the cable. The amount of bands or the color of the bands secured to the cable may indicate the type of cable.

The present invention relates to fabrics, composites, prepregs, laminates, and other products incorporating glass fibers formed from glass compositions. The glass fibers, in some embodiments, are incorporated into composites that can be adapted for use in high energy impact applications such as ballistic or blast resistance applications. Glass fibers formed from some embodiments of the glass compositions can have certain desirable properties that can include, for example, desirable electrical properties (e.g. low Dk) or desirable mechanical properties (e.g., specific strength).

UICCs are disclosed herein. An example UICC includes a body a body having a height between approximately 10.9 millimeters and 11.1 millimeters and a width between approximately 8.9 millimeters and 9.1 millimeters.
Abstract:
An actuator assembly for use in an electronic device is provided. The actuator assembly includes a support tray formed of a conductive metal and defining an aperture extending through the support tray. A seat surrounds the aperture and supports an actuator. The actuator includes a piezoelectric element adhered to a metal substrate larger than the piezoelectric element. The metal substrate bends when the piezoelectric element contracts and expands in response to changes in the charge of the piezoelectric element. An insulator is disposed between the metal substrate and the support tray which electrically insulates the substrate from the metal substrate.
Abstract:
A unitary handheld portable module includes a keypad for entering data and a display for displaying data. A base module is configured to be coupled with and communicate through a telephone line and includes a keypad for dialing a telephone number and a display for displaying information. The portable and base modules are configured to have a mounted configuration in which the portable module is removably mounted on the base module and covers the base module's display, and the modules communicate with each other for the portable module's display to display information relating to operation of the base module.
