Abstract:
A security system for a goods-carrying compartment such as of a vehicle is arranged to indicate the sealed status of an access door 40 to the compartment. Following loading of the compartment, the system is used to seal the door closed by passing a security cable 34 through components 46, 50 of a lock mechanism associated with that door. The cable 34 is re-entered into the system housing 30 and then, using a key inserted into a security switch 14, the system is activated to show proper sealing. An interrogation switch 12 may be pressed to illuminate LED 22 if the door 40 has not been opened following sealing or LED 24 if the door has been opened and not properly re-sealed with a key. Two different keys may be provided, one for use with the initial sealing of the compartment and the other for re-sealing by an authorized person such as a driver, so long as the compartment was opened for a legitimate purpose on route between dispatch and the ultimate destination.
Abstract:
A trusted relabeler system and software is provided that allows for the simultaneous reclassification of multiple files to multiple classification labels (security domains or computer networks) through automation of the multi-person review process. Roles, used to break down the requirements of the multi-person review process, dictate what specific function a user can perform. There are three roles used: Submitter, Processor, and Reviewer. The Submitter is allowed to submit one or more documents for reclassification, while the Processor is allowed to submit one or more documents for reclassification, perform an initial review and acceptance of the document, and assign a specific Reviewer for the document. The Reviewer is allowed to perform final verification and, upon acceptance, allows the document to be reclassified appropriately. Users are assigned one or more roles and a set of source and destination classification labels inside the security policy of a specific user that are bounded (restricted) by the clearance (maximum classification) assigned to a user on the trusted operating system on which the trusted relabeler system is implemented. The bundled documents to be reclassified are virus scanned, file typed, and searched for “dirty words” indicative of a particular classification level. An integrity seal is generated to verify that the files are not tampered with between processing by the Processor and the Reviewer. Files are upgraded or downgraded only if all processes are completed successfully.
Abstract:
A lock mechanism for sealing a goods compartment has a housing (10) supporting a shackle (62) movable between open and closed positions to permit hoops on the ends of an elongate sealing member (44) to be connected thereto and then held thereby. The shackle (62) is retained in its closed position by a spying loaded push-button (32) and also by an auxiliary lock (64) including an electric actuator (71) controlled by a control unit (15). The housing (10) has a display device (17, 18, 19) to indicate the lacking condition and sealing of the mechanism and also has a proximity card reader adapted to read information from a presented smartcard, operation of the auxiliary lock (64) being controlled by presentation of an appropriate smartcard.

Abstract:
A cremation container is foldable into a compact configuration for shipping purposes and is unfolded and erected at its destination. The cremation container comprises a bottom, a pair of side walls pivotally connected to the bottom, a pair of end walls pivotally connected to the bottom, and a cover removably positionable atop the pair of side walls and the pair of end walls. One pair of the pair of side walls and pair of end walls is foldable onto the bottom, and the other pair of the pair of side walls and pair of end walls is foldable onto the one pair of the pair of side walls and the pair of end walls, to thereby compactly configure the container for shipping. Preferably, the pair of side walls are foldable onto the bottom and the pair of end walls are foldable onto the pair of side walls. The lid comprises a pair of equal length lids positionable on the pair of side walls when the pair of side walls are folded onto the bottom and positionable between free edges of the pair of end walls when the pair of end walls are folded onto the pair of side walls.
Abstract:
The invention provides a mechanism for a transaction coordinator to indicate to a transaction participant that it supports a heuristic outcome, where a course of action has occurred which means that the transaction participant is unable to honor a transactional prior commitment to the transaction coordinator. The mechanism is such that a transaction participant that is incapable of communicating a heuristic outcome may ignore any such indication. A transaction participant may be incapable because it does not understand the concept of a heuristic outcome at all or because it does not have the ability to inform the transaction coordinator that a heuristic outcome has occurred.
