    摘要: An automated method causes a terrestrial solar cell array to track the sun. The solar cell system may include motors that adjust a position of the array along different respective axes with respect to the sun. An alignment analysis procedure, e.g., a find sun routine, is performed to ensure that the solar cell system is properly aligned with the sun during solar tracking. This procedure may sweep the solar cell system along determined paths (e.g., azimuth and elevation paths) while measuring an output parameter indicative of system performance. The measured data is analyzed to determine if the solar cell system is in misalignment in which case the solar cell system is moved into proper alignment. The alignment procedure may be implemented on a periodic basis or using triggers, and maybe automatically executed or manually executed.

    摘要: A measuring device hanger is engageable with one of the standard holes in a vehicle body, and suspends a conventional measuring device therefrom. A head is small enough to pass through the smallest of holes in a vehicle body; and, the head is expansible to lock within the largest of holes in a vehicle body. The head is in two parts, one part being on each of two jaws. The jaws are pivotal away from each other to separate the two parts of the head to lock the head within a hole. A body mounts a shaft fixed with respect to the body. The shaft carries a threaded stud which extends through a cam block. Thus, as the body and the shaft are rotated, the threaded stud rotates to move the cam block and urge the jaws away from each other. The body defines a hole that receives the standard measuring device, and a set screw secures the measuring device.

    摘要: A dental prophylaxis angle and handpiece assembly for cleaning and polishing teeth is provided. The dental prophylaxis angle is removably attached to the dental handpiece by an interlocking mechanism that includes extension locking tabs, a locking annular member, and an interlocking drive member in the handpiece. The prophy angle is securely snap-fitted onto the handpiece and locked in place so that it has minimal lateral movement. After the prophy angle has been used to treat a patient, it can be removed easily from the handpiece and disposed thereof.

    摘要: An automated method causes a terrestrial solar cell array to track the sun. The solar cell system includes motors that adjust a position of the array along different respective axes with respect to the sun, wherein a first motor adjusts the inclination angle of the array relative to the surface of the earth and a second motor rotates the array about an axis substantially perpendicular to that surface. The method includes (a) using a software algorithm to predict a position of the sun at a future time; (b) using a computer model to determine respective positions for the motors corresponding to the solar cell array being substantially aligned with the sun at the future time; and (c) activating and operating the motors at respective particular speeds so that at the future time the solar cell array is substantially aligned with the sun. The future time may correspond to any time during operation. An initial future time may correspond to a start up time after sunrise at which point the solar cell is to begin tracking the sun.

    摘要: An alignment device for aligning solar cell modules of a solar tracking photovoltaic array relative to the sun. The alignment device may be mounted on at least one planar solar cell module so that an axis of the device is substantially perpendicular to the planar surface of the module. The device may include a convex lens at one end for focusing incoming rays of the sun into a focused beam, and a planar photodetector at a second end positioned so that the focused beam aligns on a predetermined point of the photodetector when the modules are correctly aligned. The instrument may also include a plurality of leads attached to the photodetector to provide a signal indicative of an angular misalignment of the at least one module.
