摘要: The anti-corrosion coating material contains corrosion inhibiting inorganic constituents, or a combination of inorganic and organic corrosion inhibiting constituents, suspended in a polymeric resin. The corrosion resistant composition includes a salt of inorganic constituents, and alkaline Poly(3-ammoniumpropylalkoxysiloxane)Carboxylic Acid Salt (PCAS) as a corrosion inhibitor, suspended in a polymeric resin remainder. The coating material may be applied to metal parts but not limited to aircraft fasteners, such as aircraft fastener parts, including nuts and bolts, screws, rivets, and sleeved systems.

摘要: What is disclosed is a novel device and method to manage displays in a device with a camera. In one example, a first display is on a first side of the wireless device and a second display along with a camera is on the second side of the device. A facial detector detects a presence of a human face in an image captured by the camera. A power control circuit turns on the first display and/or second display in response to receiving a signal from the facial detector that a human face is detected. In a further example, a matching algorithm is used to determine if the human face in front of the camera matches a previously stored human face. In response to a match being found, an image associated with the previous stored human face is presented on the second display.

摘要: An auto-loading firearm may obtain improved firing precision by using stored energy to cycle the firearm. The firearm may be partially cycled when the trigger is pulled. The firearm may be completely cycled only when the trigger is released. Sound suppression and/or sound reduction may be obtained by limiting the amount of gas escaping the breech during extraction as well as separating the noise of the firing event from the noise of the action cycling.

摘要: Metallic films are grown with a “spongelike” morphology in the as-deposited condition using planar magnetron sputtering. The morphology of the deposit is characterized by metallic continuity in three dimensions with continuous and open porosity on the submicron scale. The stabilization of the spongelike morphology is found over a limited range of the sputter deposition parameters, that is, of working gas pressure and substrate temperature. This spongelike morphology is an extension of the features as generally represented in the classic zone models of growth for physical vapor deposits. Nickel coatings were deposited with working gas pressures up 4 Pa and for substrate temperatures up to 1000 K. The morphology of the deposits is examined in plan and in cross section views with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The parametric range of gas pressure and substrate temperature (relative to absolute melt point) under which the spongelike metal deposits are produced appear universal for other metals including gold, silver, and aluminum.

摘要: A device for driving a stepper motor in variable sized micro-steps in response to slew rate commands. The device integrates the slew rate commands, calculates the currents to be supplied to the windings of the stepper motor and supplies these currents to the stepper motor. The device utilizes an update frequency for the integration, calculation and supply of currents to the stepper motor that is higher than the frequencies of the predominant resonances of whatever system is being driven by the stepper motor. As a consequence, the size of each micro-step executed by the stepper motor in response to slew rate commands is larger for high slew rates and smaller for low slew rates.

摘要: A pen flare may be adapted for firing from a weapon having a caliber larger than a caliber of the pen flare. The adapted flare may be fired from a conventional shotgun. The adapted flare may include a pen flare with a portion having external threads and a base. The base may include an extractor rim and a through-bore with internal threads. The pen flare may be fixed in the through-bore of the base via the external and internal threads. A rear portion of the base may have an outer diameter that is greater than an outer diameter of a front portion of the base. A cylindrical sleeve may be disposed around the front portion of the base and around the pen flare. A conventional shotgun may be reversibly converted to a compact, lighter weight shotgun with a kit. The converted shotgun may be more desirable for firing flares.

摘要: A riding sulky attachment for use with a conventional self-propelled vehicle, the vehicle including a body with front and rear wheels, a self-propelling drive mechanism and a steering assembly including a pair of operating handles extending upwardly and rearwardly from the vehicle body. The riding sulky attachment includes an elongate frame constructed of a first member, a second elevated and parallel extending member and a third angularly disposed and interconnecting member. A forward end of the elongate frame is releasably secured to a rear of the vehicle in a pivotal manner about a first horizontal axis. A carriage assembly supporting a single wheel extends downwardly from a rear end of the elongate frame and is rotatably secured to the elongate frame about a second vertical axis. An elongate cantilever member is secured to an intermediate location along the elongate frame and extends upwardly and in angular fashion relative to the elongate frame. A seat is mounted to a remote end of the cantilever member for supporting an operator at a spaced apart and elevated distance above the elongate frame and within easy reach of the operating handles extending from the vehicle.
