摘要: A display device includes a display panel for displaying an image. The display device further includes a lens configured to refract at least a portion of a collimated light having a center ray, a first outermost ray, a second outermost ray, a first plurality of rays between the first outermost ray and the center ray, and a second plurality of rays between the second outermost ray and the center ray. The lens may concentrate the first plurality of rays such that a first position on the display panel has a first light intensity. The lens may concentrate the second plurality of rays such that a second position on the display panel has a second light intensity. Each of the first light intensity and the second light intensity is substantially greater than a center light intensity on the display panel corresponding to at least the center ray.

摘要: The present invention relates to a touch module including a light emitting part, a light waveguide, a frustration layer, and a light receiving part. The light emitting part emits light and is disposed along a first direction. The light waveguide includes a first side surface and a second side surface and transmits light incident to the first side surface to the second side surface. The light emitting part is disposed on the first side surface, and the second side surface is disposed opposite to the first side surface along a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The frustration layer is disposed over the light waveguide and contacts the light waveguide in response to a touch to frustrate a total internal light reflection. The light receiving part is disposed on the second side surface of the light waveguide to detect a position of the touch. The frustration layer includes a plurality of frustration parts, the total internal light reflection is frustrated at a contact surface between a frustration part and the light waveguide, and an area of a first frustration part differs from an area of a second frustration part that is spaced apart from the first frustration part.

摘要: A transflective display panel and a display apparatus using the same are provided. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix. Each of the pixels includes a plurality of subpixels, and each subpixel within a pixel outputs a different color of light. In addition, each of the subpixels includes a transflective mode region which has a reflection mode region with a diffraction grating and a transmission mode region; a liquid crystal layer which adjusts a transmittance of incident light through electric control; and a sub color filter which transmits light within a wavelength band of the incident light. Because the display panel includes the reflection mode region where the diffraction grating is formed, it can display a high-quality image with good white balance, even while outdoors or under bright illumination.
