摘要: A Game Attracting Substance and a Method for Applying such substance comprised of a container, a solution of game attractant scent in a non-liquid sprayable foam or gel and a release mechanism whereby the contents of the container, the non-liquid foam or get containing the game attracting scent solution can be applied to a substrate. The same attracting substance is formulated such that a non-liquid three-dimensional mound of such substance can be applied to the top or underside of a horizontal substrate or a vertical substrate and thus be protected from environmental elements and yet exposed to air currents such as to effect disbursal of the scent. The device and the method of application solve problems existing with the present state of the art in that the scent containing medium as applied to the substrate is completely free of contamination by the hunter in that the hunter never comes into contact with the scent containing medium. Furthermore the method of use eliminates any litter or other object being left at the hunt site.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting a myocardial infarction including a housing and a plurality of electrodes extending from the housing. Each of the plurality of electrodes is placed at a predetermined position on a body of a user for obtaining data representing bodily activity. A processor is positioned within the housing and connected to the plurality of electrodes. The processor analyzes the data obtained by the plurality of electrodes to form a baseline ECG and records the formed ECG. A means for storing the data representing the baseline ECG value is connected to the processor. The apparatus further includes a means for notifying a user of a myocardial infarction. Upon positioning the plurality of electrodes on the body of the user subsequently to storing the formed ECG, the plurality of electrodes obtain data representing current bodily activity. The processor then compares the current data to the stored. If upon determining the data representing current bodily activity deviates from the stored ECG by a predetermined deviation value, the processor controls the notification means to notify the user to seek medical attention.

摘要: Ocean bottom mapping is carried out by projecting a sonic pulse in the formf a fan-shaped beam from a vessel toward the ocean floor, receiving echoes by an array of sonic detectors extending athwartship, repeatedly taking instantaneous, simultaneous, snapshot-like samples of all of the detectors in the array, and, by means of a digital computer, applying a beam-forming transform, such as a Fast Fourier Transform, to the samples, thereby producing a spectrum of amplitudes versus angles. The directions of the floor areas from which the snapshot data emanate are determined from refinement of the peaks in the spectrum of amplitudes, and the distances of the same floor areas from the vessel are determined by the time interval between the pulse and the sample. A bottom profile is constructed from the directions and distances so determined. Two alternative techniques for refining and interpreting spectrum data are described.

摘要: Identifying and ensuring object authenticity can occur by identifying an object by acquiring an image of the object, identifying flaws present in or on the object, associating the flaws with respective locations or regions in the image, determining a quality score indicating a condition of the object based at least upon an analysis of the identified flaws, and generating and storing a data record with all of this identifying information. A tag which provides an identifier that links the object to the data record is placed on the object. When authenticity of the object needs to be verified at a later time, the tag identifier is retrieved and used to retrieve the data record. The identifying information can then be compared with the object as it currently appears. If the object as it currently appears corresponds with the identifying information, authenticity is verified. Otherwise, fraud can be suspected.

摘要: A condition of an object is evaluated with improved uniformity as compared to conventional schemes. For example, flaw types and severities associated with flaws potentially present in a certain category of objects are predefined, along with rules for evaluating the condition of objects of the certain category based at least on the flaw types and severities. In this manner, any user, expert or not, can uniformly evaluate the condition of an object merely by identifying and inputting the flaws according to the predefined flaw types and severities. In addition, the predefined flaw types, severities, and rules can be changed by a user or otherwise at any time, and different sets of predefined flaw types, severities, and rules can be generated for each of a plurality of different categories of objects, thereby providing a fully configurable and flexible evaluation system.
