    摘要: A bus system having a bus arbitration scheme. The bus system includes a bus and a plurality of client modules coupled to the bus. Each of the client modules is capable of transmitting information on the bus to another of client module, and only one client module is entitled to transmit information on the bus at any time. A module entitled to transmit information on the bus has control of the bus for a minimum period of time defining a cycle. To determine which module is entitled to use the bus, each client module generates an arbitration signal when it seeks to transmit information on the bus. Each client module has an arbitration signal processor responsive to the arbitration signals for determining whether the module is entitled to transmit information on said bus. The system preferably also contains a host module that informs the client modules what types of transactions allowed on the bus in a given cycle. Each arbitration signal processor preferably is also responsive to the client option signals sent by the host module during an earlier cycle.

    摘要: A portable rock drill rig includes a pair of telescoping struts for supporting and positioning a mast or feed beam. The struts are connected at their upper ends to a support bracket which is connected to an elongated mast support member by a hydraulic cylinder to provide relative sliding movement between the bracket and support member. The drill rig includes a crawler undercarriage having spaced apart and pivotally mounted crawler assemblies. The lower ends of the struts are each connected to an arm which is fixed to the main frame of the undercarriage. The arms are also connected to respective track oscillation cylinders. The mounting arrangement of the struts provides for improved positioning of the mast for drilling, tramming and transport operations.

    摘要: A portable wheel assembly for use with bicycles and other wheeled vehicles. The wheel assembly comprises a centrally positioned hub which is adapted for rotatable movement about an axis. A plurality of pie shaped disk segments are coupled together along their radial side edges to form a circular support disk with a central opening. Each disk segment is adapted to removably couple with the hub at its innermost radial edge and extends radially outwardly to form a portion of a circular rim at its outermost radial edge. The rim is adapted for supporting a tire. The tire comprises a non-pneumatic tire with an annular ridge which is adapted to couple with the circular rim formed by the disk. During assembly, each of the pie shaped disk segments is coupled together and then coupled to the hub assembly at the inside radial edge or central opening. As the disk segments are coupled to the hub, the tire is assembled onto the outer radial edge or rim. Securing the supporting disk structure to the hub also secures the tire to the rim.

    摘要: Tertiary alcohols containing the structural features illustrated in 3 or 4 below (Scheme I) are prepared by reacting at least one diazo carbonyl compound, e.g., 1 in Scheme I) and at least one allylic alcohol (e.g., 2 in Scheme I) in a coupling reaction run under conditions that produce carbene or carbenoid intemediates from the diazo containing substrate such as transition metal catalysis or either thermal or photochemical decomposition.
