Abstract:
An extract of the marine algae, Sarcodiotheca, and more particularly Sarcodiotheca gaudichaudii, is described for use in cosmetic compositions. A biofermentation of Sarcodiotheca, such as for example S. gaudichaudii, is also described. This marine bioferment is useful as a skin care active ingredient for anti-aging cosmetic applications, and particularly useful when used in combination with an extracts of red algae, such as Chondrus crispus.

Abstract:
The present technology relates to synthesis of resveratrol compositions, in particular to methods of synthesizing resveratrol salicylates such as those formed through the activation of resveratrol and salicylic acid, and cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same.

The present technology relates to synthesis of compositions comprising salicylates, polysalicylates and other derivatives of salicylic acid, and personal care and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same.
Abstract:
A topical composition according to the present invention for use in a skin care regimen that provides matrix metalloprotease (MMP) inhibiting activity, tissue inhibitor of metalloprotease (TIMP) inducing activity, and immediate and delayed antioxidative activity. Preferably, the topical composition comprises at least one MMP inhibitor, a TIMP inducing agent, Tremella fuciformis (snow fungus) extract, Camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract, and Eugenia caryophyllus (clove) extract. The compositions are useful in anti-wrinkle and anti-aging products, providing elasticity, firmness, tone and texture to the skin, ameliorating fine lines and preventing skin damage.

Abstract:
A salicylic acid (SA) and derivitized beta cyclodextrin complex provides that the SA display increased solubility in water. The complex includes about 0.1 to about 10.0 percent salicylic acid, about 0.1 to about 75.0 percent derivatized beta cyclodextrin and about 0.1 to about 50.0 percent water.
Abstract:
A cosmetic composition and salicylic acid delivery system includes membrane lipid bylayers formed as liposomes and un-neutralized salicylic acid localized within the lipidic bylayers of the liposomes. Other cosmetic ingredients may be located either within the membrane compartment or in either the external or internal aqueous compartments relative the liposomal bylayers. The composition also includes an organic, water-soluble membrane-impermeant base and water.
Abstract:
An improved leadform for use with surface mount components is described. The improved leadform provides a connection to a printed circuit substrate which is highly resistant to stress related failures. The leadform is configured so that the connection utilizes a relatively greater area of the leadform for contact with a solder connection resulting in a more compliant connection. In addition, the present invention provides a preparation for the printed circuit media which allows the substrate media to absorb stresses which occur due to thermal cycling.
