摘要: An expandable vehicle comprising a vehicle chassis and an expandable structure that is fixed to, carried by, and supported by the vehicle chassis. The expandable structure is expanded when the expandable vehicle is stationary for the stationary purpose of the expandable vehicle and is contracted when the expandable vehicle is being moved. The expandable structure comprises an expandable frame and an expandable body. The expandable body is fixed to, carried by, and supported by the expandable frame while the expandable frame is fixed to, carried by, and supported by the vehicle chassis. As the expandable frame is expanded and contracted, the expandable body is correspondingly expanded and contracted.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for managing prescription benefits in prescription claim or inquiry requests performed by one or more computers in a prescription order processing system includes receiving a prescription claim request related to a consumer from a requesting entity. A crosswalk file is retrieved that comprises information from a plurality of health plan member files describing benefits available to the consumer provided by a plurality of benefit providers. The crosswalk file is used to automatically determine an order submission sequence indicating an order in which claim or inquiry requests corresponding to the benefits are submitted to the benefit providers. The claim or inquiry requests are submitted to the benefit providers according to the order submission sequence. Responses from the benefit providers are automatically aggregated in order to generate an aggregated response to the prescription claim request. The aggregated response is transmitted to the requesting entity.

摘要: A supporting device having a curved support surface elevated above a base and angled with respect to the base, such as for the support of an animal. The support surface may be elevated above the base by an adjustable stanchion so that it can accommodate animals of different sizes. The angled support surface may be fixedly or pivotally attached to the stanchion so that it may accommodate the sloped abdomen of the animal. The support surface may be designed to have a small sagitta so that it provides unobstructed access to the sides of the animal being supported. The base may be designed and configured to have a dog-bone shaped outline. Other embodiments are described and shown.

摘要: An appliance and methods are described that include embodiments of a mandibular advancement or positioning device which can use elastic bands to pull the jaw forward. The appliance has an upper plastic tray conforming to the patient's upper teeth and including a set of retention hooks coupled to the upper plastic tray via being encased in plastic, one on the right and one on the left anterior buccal portion of an upper plastic base. The appliance also has a lower plastic tray conforming to the patient's lower teeth and has a set of bite pads integrated with a second set of plastic retention hooks encased in plastic extending outwardly from the tooth. The appliance includes the upper and lower plastic trays and specially formed elastic bands of a plurality of lengths and strengths replaceably attached to the retention hooks on both sides of the trays to pull the mandible forward for treatment.

摘要: A device for spraying an inner surface of a wall of an enclosure with a fluid is disclosed. The device includes a reservoir for the fluid, a nozzle assembly through which the fluid can be sprayed on the inner surface of the wall of the enclosure, a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the reservoir and the nozzle, a pump for delivering fluid from the reservoir through the fluid conduit and to the nozzle when the pump assembly is activated, and a controller in electrical communication with the pump wherein the controller executes a stored program to activate and deactivate the pump. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle which directs the fluid in a fluid path, and the nozzle assembly further includes a deflection shield that is dimensioned to contact and redirect fluid in the fluid path, and the nozzle assembly further includes mounting structure for attaching the nozzle near the inner surface of the wall of the enclosure. The flow off of the deflector shield is laminar.

摘要: An implantable system includes light sources to transmit toward vascularized tissue, in a time multiplexed manner, light having a first wavelength of approximately 660 nm, light having a second wavelength of approximately 810 nm, light having a third wavelength of approximately 910 nm, and light having a fourth wavelength of approximately 980 nm. The system includes one or more light detector to detect light of the first, second, third and fourth wavelengths scattered by vascularized tissue. Additionally, one or more processor is configured to determine levels of blood oxygen saturation based on the detected scattered light of the first and third wavelengths, determine levels of tissue oxygen saturation based on the detected scattered light of the first and third wavelengths, determine levels of hemoglobin concentration based on the detected scattered light of the second wavelength, and determine levels of tissue hydration based on the detected scattered light of the second and fourth wavelengths.
