    摘要： A process for the preparation of cold pressure fixable toner compositions which comprises (1) admixing a core component comprised of pigment particles, a water insoluble organic solvent and elastomeric materials with a shell monomer dissolved therein; (2) dispersing the resulting mixture in a water phase containing a stabilizing material; (3) hydrolyzing by heating the resulting mixture; (4) subsequently affecting an interfacial polymerization of the aforementioned mixture; and (5) thereafter optionally washing the resulting toner composition.

The profilometer is preferably hand held so the contour of paper in jumbo rolls in the finishing and storage area may be determined quickly. The surface contour is then compared to a calibration curve to predict the desired property.

    摘要： An improved process for obtaining colored toner compositions by dispersion polymerization which comprises providing a monomer solution with stabilizer therein, polymerizing the resulting mixture, adding thereto a dye solution comprised of an organic solvent having dissolved therein oil soluble dyes, causing the dye solution to diffuse into the polymer particles, and subsequently separating the resulting toner particles, wherein the stabilizer is permanently attached to the toner polymer particles.

    摘要： Dry monodispersed polymeric particles, a stabilized dispersion of such and a method for making are described. The dispersion comprises a polar dispersion medium having dispersed therein monodispersed particles comprising a thermoplastic resin core substantially insoluble in the dispersion medium formed from a styrene or butylmethacrylate containing monomer or mixtures thereof and having irreversibly anchored thereto, a nonionic amphipathic steric stabilizer comprising a graft copolymer having a portion formed from a styrene or butylmethacrylate containing monomer or mixture thereof and a portion formed from hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxybutyl methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose or cellulose propionate. The stable dispersion is made by dissolving the nonionic cellulose ether in the polar dispersion medium and in the presence of a free radical initiator adding styrene or butylmethacrylate containing monomer a mixture thereof thereto, and permitting polymerization to take place.
