摘要: An outboard motor includes a cooling water passage that guides cooling water to cool an exhaust passage and a cylinder unit. A cooling water intake port draws external cooling water into the cooling water passage. A water pump draws cooling water into the cooling water intake port and supplies the cooling water to the cooling water passage. A thermostat is arranged in the cooling water passage downstream of the catalytic converter and the cylinder unit. A first bypass passage is connected to a first connecting section provided on the cooling water passage. The first connecting section is provided along the cooling water passage at a position farther downstream than the catalytic converter and farther upstream than the thermostat.

摘要: An outboard motor includes an engine, and a top cowling and a bottom cowling that are arranged to cover the engine. A flow-joining pipe is connected to each exhaust port of a plurality of cylinders of the engine. A first exhaust pipe, a second exhaust pipe, and a third exhaust pipe are connected to the flow-joining pipe in sequence. The flow-joining pipe and the first exhaust pipe are connected generally at the same height as a bottommost of the cylinders of the engine. The third exhaust pipe is disposed above a topmost of the cylinders of the engine. A catalyst is disposed in a connecting portion between the first exhaust pipe and the second exhaust pipe so as to be housed in an upper end portion of the first exhaust pipe and in a lower end portion of the second exhaust pipe. The outboard motor is thus able to prevent water from adhering to a catalyst while avoiding any increase in size.

摘要: An outboard motor includes an engine, and a top cowling and a bottom cowling that are arranged to cover the engine. 摘要: An engine is disposed in a top cowling. Burned gas produced in the engine is discharged to the outside through a first exhaust pipe, a second exhaust pipe, a third exhaust pipe, exhaust passage, and a exhaust passage. A catalyst is disposed to be housed in the first exhaust pipe and the second exhaust pipe. The first exhaust pipe and the second exhaust pipe are disposed in the top cowling. A fan is provided above the catalyst. As a result of this unique structure, a temperature increase in the cowling is prevented from being caused by heat radiated from the catalyst.

摘要: A remote control system for a marine drive includes a change element that changes an operational condition of the marine drive. An actuator actuates the change element. An ECU controls the actuator. A remote controller is remotely placed from the ECU. The remote controller has a control lever. A mechanical cable has ends. One end is coupled with the control lever. A potentiometer outputs a command signal to the ECU. The potentiometer has an input lever. Another end of the mechanical cable is coupled with the input lever. The input lever moves along with the control lever when the control lever is operated. The potentiometer generates the command signal in accordance with a position of the input lever. The control device controls the actuator based upon the command signal.

摘要: An outboard motor can comprise a cowling for covering an engine, a high pressure fuel supply system, and a low pressure fuel supply system. The high pressure fuel supply system can have a vapor separator tank and a high pressure fuel pump. The low pressure fuel supply system can have a low pressure fuel pump. A heat insulating chamber, defined from a space for accommodating the engine, can be formed within the cowling. The heat insulating chamber houses the low pressure fuel pump and the fuel filter.

摘要: A high frequency delay circuit operable to output a high frequency signal delayed for a desired delay time. The high frequency delay circuit includes: a variable delay circuit operable to receive a reference signal of which a frequency is lower than the high frequency signal, and to output a delay reference signal delayed from the reference signal for the desired delay time in advance; and a multiplier operable to generate the high frequency signal, of which a frequency is a frequency of the delay reference signal multiplied by a predetermined value, and to output the generated high frequency signal at timing according to a phase of the delay reference signal.

摘要: A fuel supply device can have a low pressure fuel pump that supplies fuel to a vapor separator tank positioned adjacent to an engine from a main fuel tank disposed in a hull. An electrically operated primary fuel pump (e.g., a primer pump) and a check valve can both be positioned parallel to each other and between the main fuel tank and the low pressure fuel pump. A control device can be connected to the primary fuel pump for operating the primary fuel pump only for a preset fuel supply time when starting the engine is attempted and prior to the start of the engine.
