There is provided a data transmission apparatus, an image processing apparatus and a program, capable of preventing data from being transmitted to a destination to which the data should not be transmitted, in the case where there is a possibility that the data is forwarded to a destination other than the destination designated at the time of the transmission. When an address designated as a transmission destination has a possibility that data is forwarded to another address, such as an address of a mailing list, a forward destination information determining/acquiring unit acquires the information of the forward destination. When the forward destination includes the address that does not correspond to the transmission-permitted address held in a transmission-permitted address holder unit, an e-mail transmission canceling unit cancels the transmission to the address to which the transmission is not permitted.
Abstract:
A communication system and a communication method for permitting a user of a cell-phone to receive data in a non-service area via an MFP. When the communication condition between a base station and a cell-phone becomes bad, the base station sends a map showing the current position of the cell-phone and the locations of nearby MFPs to the cell-phone. The user of the cell-phone selects one from the MFPs on the map and notifies the base station of the selected MFP. The base station sends an e-mail addressed to the cell-phone to the selected MFP, and the MFP stores the e-mail therein. The user of the cell-phone makes an access to the MFP by short-distance wireless communication to receive the e-mail.

A retrieval system comprises an image forming apparatus having a box which is a data storage area and a terminal device for retrieval, which is connected to the image forming apparatus via a network, and retrieves information stored in the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus has a storage part for storing bookmark information including list information of item names of items in an electronic document file stored in the box and a transmission part for transmitting the bookmark information to the terminal device.
Abstract:
A data sending apparatus, on sending data to a receiving apparatus, searches its storage for a transmission method to the receiving apparatus. After sending data to the receiving apparatus, the sending apparatus receives from the receiving apparatus a transmission result including a transmission condition and capabilities of the receiving apparatus. When an error occurs during the data transmission, the sending apparatus reads the communication and processing capabilities of the receiving apparatus from the transmission result, and resends the data by a transmission method in accordance with the receiving apparatus. It then acquires the transmission result and stores the same in the storage.

A user interface which displays information regarding a job registered in an image forming apparatus comprises a job information acquisition unit which acquires information regarding the job, an editing function selection unit which acquires selection of an editing function to the information regarding the job by a user, a job information editing unit which carries out the selected editing function to the information regarding the job, limiting the editing of a predetermined item of the information regarding the job, and a job information display unit which displays the edited job information.

In the case where an attribute of a general-purpose file to be processed is an attribute inhibiting printing, an MFP selects a transmission function, which is one of output functions of the MFP, as a function that can be performed (selected) in response to an output instruction, and displays a screen for transmission. In the case of an attribute permitting a document assembly function, the MFP determines that a bind function is a function that can be performed (selected), and displays a screen for the function. In the case of an attribute inhibiting the document assembly function, the MFP determines that a function of adding information to a file, which is one of the output functions of the MFP that does not implement the document assembly function, is a function that can be performed (selected), and displays a screen for the function.

An electronic document managing apparatus includes a link information acquiring unit, an integration unit, and an addition unit. The link information acquiring unit acquires link information relating to link destinations inside each of a plurality of electronic documents. The integration unit integrates the respective pieces of link information relating to the plurality of electronic documents to generate integrated link information. The addition unit adds the integrated link information to the plurality of electronic documents, respectively.

A remote control system includes a PC and a MFP capable of remotely controlling an external device. PC includes a browsing portion to receive an operation screen from the MFP, a display control portion to allow a projector to project the received operation screen onto a projection plane, and a position detection portion to detect a position pointed to by a user in the projected operation screen. The browsing portion transmits to the MFP a command which is included in the operation screen and is related to the detected position in the operation screen. The MFP includes an operation screen transmission portion to transmit to the PC the operation screen, including a command for specifying control, for accepting an operation, a command reception portion to receive a command transmitted from the PC, and a process control portion to control the external device or the device itself in accordance with the received command.

The present invention is intended to share information as to voice operation in an image processing device with a voice operation function with another image processing device, thereby improving operability for using another one. An image processing device allowed to be connected to a network comprising: an operational panel for displaying a menu screen and receiving a manual operation to the menu screen; a speech input part for inputting speech; an operation item specifying part for specifying an operation item to be a target of operation based on a voice word; a voice operation control part for executing a processing corresponding to the specified operation item; a history information generation part for generating a voice operation history information in which the voice word and the specified operation item are associated; and a transmission part for transmitting the generated voice operation history information to another image processing device through the network.
