摘要: An electric moxibustion device includes a tubular case having a front end opening, a heater unit placed near the front end opening in the case, and a heatproof rubber cap removably attached to the front end of the case. The heater unit comprises a heat transfer metal plate and a heating element which is fixed on the back surface of the heat transfer metal plate and generates heat using power from an external power source or a battery. The cap and the case are configured for holding an absorbent-retentive member which absorbs and retains a medical fluid between the discharge opening of the cap and the heat transfer metal plate in the case. The case has a thermoregulation circuit built-in which can change the temperature of the heating element in a stepwise manner, and push buttons for temperature adjustment are provided on the outer periphery of the case.

摘要: A flat battery of the present invention is a flat battery including an exterior can and a sealing can with which an opening of the exterior can is sealed, wherein the exterior can and the sealing can include a bottom portion and a circumferential wall extending upright from an outer circumference of the bottom portion and have a cylindrical shape that is open at one end; a distal end portion of the circumferential wall of the exterior can is bent toward a central axis of the sealing can to form a curve, whereby the exterior can is fixed to the sealing can by crimping; in a cross-sectional shape of the sealing can in the direction of the central axis, the circumferential wall of the sealing can is a single layer wall without being folded back, and the circumferential wall of the sealing can includes a rectilinear portion that is connected to the bottom portion via a corner portion; and the rectilinear portion has a Vickers hardness greater than the Vickers hardness of the corner portion.

摘要: A thermal transfer image-receiving sheet 1 includes a seal part 9 including at least a receptive layer 8, a substrate 7 and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 6 which are laminated in the order mentioned; and a release sheet 5 which is separably adhered to the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 6 of the seal part 9. The seal part 9 is provided with a half cut 2 that is useful for separating a part of the seal part 9 from the release sheet 5. The groove width of the half cut 2 is preferably from 25 to 60 &mgr;m. It is also preferable that the seal part 9 and the release sheet 5 be adhered to each other so that they show continuous and slight changes in peel strength when the seal part 9 is separated from the release sheet 5. The slight changes in peel strength measured in accordance with JIS Z0237-8.3.1 (180 Degrees Peeling Method) are referably in the range of 1 to 10 g/cm. Further, it is preferable that the mean peel strength be from 10 to 75 g/cm.

摘要: An omega energy filter capable of increasing energy dispersion while canceling out second-order aberrations. The energy filter is mirror-symmetric with respect to the center plane C. A beam enters a first nonuniform magnetic field produced by a first magnet, then enters a second nonuniform magnetic field region produced by a second magnet. The trajectory of the beam is curved by the field produced by the second magnet. Finally, the beam enters a third magnetic field region produced by the first magnet. The beam is deflected in this region and reaches an exit slit.

摘要: A process for the preparation of a deuterated compound, which requires neither many steps nor an expensive reagent, and is considerably economical and can be widely used for general-purposes because raw materials which can be used therein are not particularly limited. Specifically, a deuterated compound is obtained by a process comprising treating an organic compound (an aliphatic or alicyclic compound, an aromatic hydrocarbon or a polymer compound such as rubbers and proteins) in heavy water under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions not less than the subcritical temperature and the subcritical pressure.

摘要: An underwater concreting cement composition comprising a base prepared by adding (a) 0.2 to 2.0 parts by weight of hydroxyethylcellulose and (b) 0.01 to 0.2 part by weight of high-molecular weight polyethylene oxide and/or 0.2 to 4.0 parts by weight of calcium formate. The hydroxyethylcellulose preferably has the molar number of ethylene oxide substituted per glucose unit of 1.5 to 4.0 and a viscosity at 25.degree. C. in a 1% aqueous solution of 1,000 to 7,000 cP. The high-molecular weight polyethylene oxide preferably has an average molecular weight of 60,000 to 6,000,000. Calcium formate is added to accelerate the setting.This underwater concreting cement composition can be directly placed under water or in a watery place. Moreover, this composition is free from bleeding and can be pumped.

摘要: Disclosed is disclosed a process for producing a printed wiring board which comprises the steps of: a) exposing a wiring board having at least one photoconductive layer in which its chargeability is changed by light exposure on at least one surface of a conductive support which comprises an insulating substrate and at least one metal conductive layer provided at least one surface thereof through a resist pattern; b) charging the photoconductive layer to form an electrostatic latent image; c) forming a toner image on the photoconductive layer by toner developing treatment; d) removing a portion of the photoconductive layer to which no toner is attached by dissolution to form a resist image; and e) removing a portion of the metal conductive layer other than a portion where the resist image is formed by etching.
