    摘要: The present invention relates to a stainproof-treating agent which comprises (A) 0.05 to 30 percent by weight of a nonvolatile resin ingredient, (B) 0.05 to 30 percent by weight of a nonvolatile ingredient of at least one oxide sol selected from the group consisting of an aluminum oxide sol, a silica sol, a zirconium oxide sol and an antimony oxide sol, (C) 1 to 50 percent by weight of an organic solvent and (D) 40 to 99 percent by weight of water, wherein the resin of the ingredient (A) has a solubility parameter of 10 or more and is insoluble in water at 25° C., a method for stainproof-treating by using the stainproof-treating agent and a stainproof-treated article obtained by the method for stainproof-treating. The stainproof-treating agent of the present invention can be applied on a substrate without requiring a special device and can provide excellent stain resistance by modifying a substrate surface hydrophilic by a simple work. Also, the method for stainproof-treating of the present invention can provide excellent stain resistance on the substrate by a simple work. Further, the stainproof-treated article of the present invention is an article obtained by the method for stainproof-treating described above and is excellent in stain resistance.

    摘要: To obtain elasticity imparting agents for paints comprised of liquid non-aqueous polymer dispersions which, when added to paints, improve the scratch resistance without lowering the acid resistance of the hardened paint film. A liquid non-aqueous polymer dispersion which contains (a) 40-90 percent by weight organic solvent, (b) 10-50 percent by weight particle component comprised vinyl based copolymer which contains 30 percent by weight or more of structural units of formula (1), and (c) 5-40 percent by weight dispersion stabilizer for dispersing the (b) component in the (a) component. In formula (1) R.sup.1 -R.sup.5 are H or methyl groups, m is 0-2, n is 0-10, p is 0 or 1, q is 0-3 and r is 0-3.

    摘要: Thermoset paint compositions with which paint films can be formed which have excellent acid resistance, abrasion resistance and adhesion, and with which the water repelling properties and staining resistance can be retained for a longer period of time than with the conventional fluorine resin based paint films, are obtained. Constitution: Thermoset paint film compositions which contain (a) from 20 to 80% by weight of fluorine containing copolymer, comprising fluoro-olefin and vinyl based monomer, of which the solubility parameter value is from 9.0 to 10.5 and the hydroxy group value is within the range from 60 to 150 mgKOH/g; (b) from 20-80% by weight of vinyl based (co)polymer, comprising vinyl based monomer which contains at least 10% by weight of monomer which can be repesented by formula (1), of which the solubility parameter is from 9.0 to 10.5 and the hydroxy group value is within the range from 60 to 150 mgKOH/g; (c) from 5 to 40% by weight of alkyl etherified melanine resin; and (d) from 2 to 40% by weight of blocked polyisocyanate compound, and with which the glass transition temperature of the paint film after hardening is at least 50° C. In formula (1), R1 to R5 each independantly represent H or methyl group, i is 0-2, j is 0 or 1, k is 0-3, m is 0-3 and n is 0-10.

    摘要: An agent for imparting stain resistance to a top-coat paint film that has (a) from 3 to 10 mass % of a compound represented by Formula (1) or a partial hydrolysis condensate thereof, wherein Formula (1) is R1—(OCH2CH2)n—O—Si(OR2)3 wherein R1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom, R2 is the same or different and is an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and n is an integer value from 2 to 4, (b) from 0.01 to 1 mass % of a catalyst with which the aforementioned (a) component can be hydrolyzed, (c) 0.5 to 3 mass % of an alkylsulfosuccinic acid salt based surfactant, and (d) from 86 to 96.49 mass % of an alcohol based solvent which has not more than 3 carbon atoms. A method for imparting stain resistance to a top-coat paint film employing the disclosed agent is also provided.
