    摘要: A thermosetting composition which comprises:(D) a self-crosslinking compound having in the molecule (a) one or more functional groups of the formula (2): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are each hydrogen or an organic group of 1 to 18 carbons, R.sup.8 is an organic group of 1 to 18 carbons, Y.sup.2 is oxygen or sulfur, or R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are bonded with each other to form a heterocyclic structure which comprises Y.sup.2 as the heteroatom component; and (b) one or more reactive functional groups which can form a chemical bond with carboxyl functional groups which are regenerated from (a) by heating; (C) optionally, a thermal latent acid catalyst which is activated during curing of the composition by heating; (A) optionally, a compound having in the molecule two or more functional groups of the formula (1): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each hydrogen or an organic group of 1 to 18 carbons, R.sup.4 is an organic group of 1 to 18 carbons, Y.sup.1 is oxygen or sulfur, or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are bonded with each other to form a heterocyclic structure which comprises Y.sup.1 as the heteroatom component; and/or, (B) optionally, a compound having in the molecule two or more reactive functional groups which can form a chemical bond by heating with either one or both of the functional group of the formula (1) and the functional group of the formula (2).

    摘要: A resin composition for use as a paint contains a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing a monomer (I) represented by the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein either one of X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 stands for an acryloyloxy or methacryloyloxy group, the other being a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; R.sub.1 to R.sub.10 each stand for a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; and n is an integer of 1 to 4; with an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a reactive functional group and an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated monomer having no reactive functional group. A monomer mixture for preparing the copolymer contains 5 to 95 wt % of the monomer (I).

    摘要: A thermosetting composition comprises (A) a compound having in the molecule two or more carboxyl groups blocked by a vinyl ether compound, a vinyl thioether compound or a hetero compound having a vinyl type double bond and oxygen or sulfur as the hetero atom, (B) a compound having in the molecule two or more reactive functional groups which can form chemical bonds with the blocked carboxyl groups, and (C) a dispersing component of at least one inorganic oxide sol selected from the group consisting of aluminium oxide sol, silica sol, zirconium oxide sol and antimony oxide sol, and optionally (D) a thermal latent acid catalyst which is activated during curing the composition by heating. A method of coating and a coated article comprise applying the composition. The obtained paint film has excellent weathering resistance, stain resistance, stain-removing property, chemical resistance, moisture resistance and excellent appearance.
