摘要: A highly reliable online system is disclosed which is provided with a backup computer center (sub-online system) in addition with an original computer center (main online system) in order to improve the reliability of the online system. With respect to the database, the main online system is provided with an original database (main database) while the sub-online system is provided with a backup database (sub-database) which is a duplicate of the main database. The main online system and the sub-online system are connected through a transmission path. Information on an update performed in the main database is transferred to the sub-online system through the transmission path to thereby update the sub-database in a manner similar to the main database. Terminal units are normally connected to the main online system, wherein the main database is updated by transactions inputted from the terminals. When a failure occurs in the main online system, the terminals are changed over to be connected to the sub-online system to allow transaction processing to be continued. Further, there are provided a control system for synchronizing contents between the main database and the sub-database when the original computer center is changed over to the backup computer center, a recovery system for recovering the main database or the sub-database from failures and an integration system for integrating both the main database and the sub-database when they are independently updated due to a failure in the transmission path or the like.

摘要: An ophthalmological diagnosis method and an apparatus for carrying out the method is disclosed. According to the invention, one of a plurality of laser beams is selected depending upon the tissue layers in the eye fundus to be diagnosed, and is projected thereon. Light is scattered by blood cells within a tissue layer of the eye fundus that depends upon the wavelength of the selected laser beam. The scattered light is received and photoelectrically converted into an electrical signal, which is then evaluated to measure the blood flow state within the tissue layer of the eye fundus.

摘要: Disclosed is an ophthalomological diagnosis method and apparatus in which a blood vessel in the eye fundus is illuminated with a laser beam of a predetermined beam spot whose diameter is substantially equal to or smaller than that of the blood vessel in order to produce diffraction-plane speckles which are formed at a Fourier-transform plane by light scattered from the eye fundus. Boiling motion of the diffraction-plane speckle pattern thus produced is then detected through a multiple detection aperture pattern which is disposed at the Fourier-transform plane and comprised of a plurality of small apertures to obtain a speckle signal which is evaluated to measure velocity of the blood flowing through the blood vessel concerned. This arrangement makes it possible to detect the speckle signal without any effect of averaging the signal with an increase in intensity detected, thus enabling advantageous and successful measurement of the blood flow state in the eye fundus.

摘要: An ophthalmological diagnosis apparatus is disclosed that has an optical spatial frequency filter, a double diffraction optical system whereby an eye fundus image formed at a first image plane that is conjugate with the eye fundus is again formed at a second image plane, a magnifying optical system for expanding the eye fundus image formed on the second image plane, and a detecting aperture for detecting movement of laser speckles formed at the image plane of magnifying optical system as fluctuations in the intensity of the speckle light. Advantages of the apparatus include the ease with which a single, specific blood vessel can be selected; unnecessary light components can be filtered out, improving the S/N ratio of the speckle light detection; the optical system does not need to be high-precision; good operability; and measurement results that are much more reliable and reproducible.

摘要: A control device includes a connecting device for connecting an external memory medium; and a non-volatile memory device having at least one memory region in which data can be electrically rewritten. The memory device includes a first memory region for storing control program data; a second memory region for storing connection judgment program data; and a third memory region for storing writing program data. The connection judgment program is executed to determine whether the external memory medium is connected. The writing program is executed to rewrite the control program data stored in the first memory region with external memory medium data stored in the external memory medium.

摘要: A contact-type image sensor is designed to prevent, in an effective manner, dust from entering into a space between a rod lens array and a light receiving sensor. A rod lens array includes a large number of rod lenses between two flat substrates and between spacers located at left and right ends; one row of the rod lenses is arranged in such a way that central axes of the rod lenses become parallel to each other. At an emission side of a rod lens in an axis line direction, each substrate includes an extension portion, whose length is determined based on an operating distance of the rod lens. A lower end of the extension portion of each substrate is in contact with an upper surface of a sensor substrate. In this manner, the rod lens array is positioned with high accuracy with respect to the light receiving sensor.
