    摘要: The present invention provides a system for generating an end of travel feedback to the driver of a vehicle where the vehicle includes a steer by wire system. The system includes a steering wheel, a steering shaft, a motor, and a brake. The steering wheel is configured to control the steer by wire system. The steering shaft is coupled to the steering wheel and rotates in conjunction with the steering wheel. To provide road feel resistance to the driver, the motor is coupled to the steering shaft. Further, the brake is coupled to a shaft of the motor and is adapted to provide mechanical resistance when the road wheel is at an end of travel position.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for temperature sensing and for detecting cracks or breakage of a windshield. A resistance element is connected to the windshield and a resistance monitoring circuit is connected to the resistance element for monitoring an electrical property of the resistance element. A physical integrity monitoring device can be connected to the resistance monitoring circuit for determining the physical integrity of the windshield based upon the monitored electrical property of the resistance element. Also, a temperature calculator can be used to determine a temperature based upon the monitored electrical property associated with the resistance element and upon a relationship between resistance and temperature that has been stored in a memory device.

    摘要: The present invention teaches an improved brush holder assembly. The holder has a first terminal wire and comprises a support plate and a tower attached thereto for securing the first terminal wire. The tower comprises a body and an end. The body comprises an interior passageway with a number of ribs for securably positioning the first terminal wire within the body and a groove for securing the first terminal wire within the tower. The tower's end functionally crimps the first terminal wire and has a plurality of support members for securably positioning the crimped first terminal wire within a mouth of the end. A coil spring forming an inductor is also incorporated for mechanically biasing a brush and for filtering out electromagnetic interference (EMI).
