    摘要: An axial bevel gear generated control motion is used to control an accelerating-decelerating vane motion in a cylindrical central axis main pressure chamber using a limited angle differential gear whose reversing gear is receiving an axial crank controlled motion from an orbiting bevel gear or in a modified version from an oscillation controlling barrel cam. Same bevel gear crank generated axial motion is also used to provide an axial piston motion in cylinders with one or more pistons which can be in a stationary or rotating cylinder housing. In all the different models a valveless port communication with a radial or axial flow distribution control is used for a pressurized fluid flow which is suited to external pressure or internal combustion engines where the energy conversion is from a fluid or combustion pressure to a powered output shaft rotation or in a reverse energy conversion mode, the central shaft is functioning as a power input shaft for pumping or gas compressor applications. For different vane numbers and axial motion generation gear ratios as well as engine or pump types, different communication hole patterns on a distributing stator or rotor are used.

    摘要: An embossing machine and method is provided in which the mass of the carriage assembly carrying the card to and from various operations in the machine is significantly reduced by the utilization of a card carrying carriage mounted for movement in one direction from side to side on the machine via a stationary motor. The carriage is mounted on a guide bar which, together with the carriage, moves from the front to the back of the machine via a stationary motor. A new card supply hopper is arranged to stack cards vertically and feed them to the carriage one-by-one as the carriage approaches the hopper. An embossing assembly is operated by a single interposer arranged in a crank drive or two interposers arranged between actuating levers and the rams of associated male and female embossing wheels. A topper assembly minimizes foil usage by winding up only that foil which has been used during the topping of the previous card. The embossed and topped card is fed to a stacking assembly either through an arrangement of wires which causes the card to waterfall into a stacker channel or to slide into contact with a pivoting loader which pivots the card into a stacker channel.

    摘要: A cycle control device employing a parallel switching circuit to control a single or a predetermined number of cycles of a motor driven output shaft. A latching and a cycle switch in the parallel circuit are providing an overlapping switching sequence which is initiated by a latchable pushbutton and controlled further by the motor driven output shaft to the end of the cycle. An indexing arrangement is functioning to delay the unlatching and keeping the motor circuit energized until the unlatching and motor stopping can take place in a home position after a dial readable predetermined number of ratcheting steps have been completed. The control principle is applicable to a countdown version, a memory version with an automatic return or to a unit with a shaft mechanism to one or the other mode.

    摘要: A dispensing and control system, adaptable to coin operated vending machines, for selective operation of one of the dispensers acting as a means for releasing and dropping a selected merchandise to a delivery location using a mechanical or electrical control. Three dispenser mechanisms, suitable for different merchandise groups, are operable by a low power operating stroke suitable for a fully mechanical machine where the operating power comes from the manual actuation of operating knobs which are visually and mechanically linked to individual dispensers. Same dispensers are operable by an electrical power source using a novel selection system which includes a coupling and resetting control for coupling a selected dispenser actuator to a common power driven actuating member. The electrical control system is utilizing a series connected simple selection switch unit and a compact drive mechanism where the power of a single motor in a machine can be coupled to any dispenser unit which includes a small electrical actuator and switching means to control the selective coupling and resetting action. The control system is adaptable to vending machines or selection mechanisms requiring a selectable coupling of a power stroke to one of the selected actuators. The basic electrical control system is adaptable to various modifications including a direct solenoid actuation of some light acting dispensers. A two pivot escapement principle is applied as a bases for a delivery door and for one of the dispensers.

    摘要: A tabulated kinematic control theory provides a foundation for a variety of peristaltic motion control versions where a control stator establishes a reference line for a peristaltic control wave or path in few different ways for the purpose of making a control point on a differential linkage or gear to follow this control path which in turn is creating an alternating harmonic-motion-like accelerating and decelerating rotary motion to a pair of concentric rotor shafts which are attached to vane carriers with one or more vanes each. The vanes are working in a main cylindrical central-axis rotating or stationary pressure chamber whereby the accelerating and decelerating rotary motion of vanes is creating variable volume subchambers between adjacent vanes to provide a peristaltic flow of fluids through a pattern of inlet and outlet ports in a stationary distributing stator which has a registered relationship with the control stator for providing a synchronized communication between the variable volume subchambers and the inlet-outlet ports or any other communicating points. The positively controlled differential power transmission between the two rotor shafts and the operating shaft offers two operating modes: when the operating shaft functions as a power input shaft, the device will operate as a pump or compressor or when an external or internal pressure is applied to a closed subchamber, the variable peristaltic motion of vanes is transmitting the fluid pressure to a uniform rotation of the operating shaft which will function then as a power output shaft for an external pressure steam or fluid power engine or for an internal combustion engine of any kind.

    摘要: An electromechanical selection control is transmitting the rotation of an electric motor output shaft to a selectively controlled reciprocating motion for performing a desired action in one or more selected stations. A coupling mechanism in each station is electrically selectable and mechanically connectable to a power drive and resettable by the power drive within a control cycle. Among the numerous applications the reciprocating coupled motion is usable in vending machines for operating dispenser actuators requiring a reciprocating motion. The control circuitry has flexibility to suit different conditions and it is satisfying the vending machine control requirements where a simple series connected selection switch chain is connectable to a coin validating unit which in the most complex form includes a multiprice and changemaker control circuitry and more than one selectable dispenser groups each including a drive motor and more than one selectable dispensers. The compact coupling mechanism can be directly a part of a dispenser actuator or it is connectable to a dispenser actuator by a connecting linkage if the two are not in a close proximity. Novel front end dispensing mechanisms to act from a horizontal or inclined storage platform are provided for various product shapes including cylindrical containers, rectangular packages and bagged products.
