摘要： A socket for securing an integrated circuit (IC) during burn-in or test procedures. The socket includes a base which carries a plurality of electrically conductive contacts. Opposed hold down rollers are shiftably journaled in the base. The socket also includes a movable top connected to the base and a contact with the rollers. Movement of the top shifts the rollers between secured and open positions. A rotatable lever housed in the base is connected to an actuating arm which is also shiftable by movement of the top. The lever is operably associated with the contacts and shifts the contacts between an operative position in contact with the IC chip leads and a standby position spaced from the IC chip leads.

摘要： A connector assembly (1) mounted on a printed circuit board for mating with a network cable includes a housing (12) configured to form two mating ports (10) for receiving their complementary connectors. A conditioning unit (2) is mounted into the housing (12) to be disposed between the mating ports (10), and includes a circuit board (21) having conditioning components (22) and two terminal modules (23, 24) surface mounted thereon. Each of the terminal modules (23, 24) has terminals (25) insert-molded therein and is mounted on a different side of the circuit board (21) from each other. At least one flexible latch (18) is formed on the middle portion of one sidewall of the housing (12) and a notch (28) is formed at one edge of the circuit board (21) to be engaged with the latch (18) to fix the conditioning unit (2) in position. Thus, the conditional unit (2) is easily secured to the housing (12) and the latch (18) is easily detached from the notch (28) by a tool.

The connector assembly includes a dielectric housing having a receptacle and an insert assembly arranged therein. The insert assembly includes an insert housing and first, second and preferably third sets of contact/terminal members, each contact/terminal member including a contact portion situated in the receptacle, a terminal portion extending beyond the bottom surface of the insert housing and an intermediate portion interconnecting the contact portion and the terminal portion. The contact/terminal member(s) in each set are geometrically different than the contact/terminal members in the other set(s) and are arranged substantially parallel to one another. The insert housing has passageways in each of which a respective contact/terminal member is received. To reduce crosstalk, the contact/terminal members are arranged such that each contact/terminal member is different from any adjacent contact/terminal member(s).
