    摘要: A luminaire (20) comprising a light guide (11) having a first refractive index (n1), the light guide (11) comprising a light-entry surface (14), a light-reflecting surface (15) for reflecting light entering at the light-entry surface (14), and a light-exit surface (16) opposite the light-reflecting surface (15), for allowing light to exit from the light guide (11), the light guide (11) being tapered toward the opposite end relative the light-entry surface (14). The luminaire (20) further comprises a light source (13), arranged to emit light toward the light-entry surface (14); a first optical member (17), having a second refractive index (n2), in optical contact with the light-exit surface (16) of the light guide (11); a second optical member (18), having a third refractive index (n3), in optical contact with the light-reflecting surface (15) of the light guide (11); and a functionality-enhancing structure (19) arranged on the opposite side of the second optical member (18) in relation to the light guide (11), for affecting an optical property of the luminaire (20) when the light source is in an off-state. The first refractive index (n1) is greater than each of the second (n2), and third (n3) refractive indices, and the second refractive index (n2) is greater than the third refractive index (n3).

    摘要: The invention relates to an optical module comprising two or more segments positioned around an axis of symmetry of the module. Each segment includes a light collimating structure for providing a predefined light distribution of light exiting the module and a light source assembled in a cavity within the light collimating structure. The center of the cavity coincides with the optical axis of the light collimating structure and is at a distance (d) from the axis of symmetry of the module. Including two or more segments where each segment comprises its own light source allows obtaining higher lumen output compared to prior art luminaires having only one light source while arranging the segments so that the center of each cavity coincides with the optical axis of the collimating structure of the segment allows preserving narrow beamwidth collimation of the light exiting the module.

    摘要: A multi-view display device comprises a pixellated display panel and a backlight comprising an arrangement of light sources (30), wherein each light source, when turned on, illuminates an associated region of pixels of the display panel. A display controller is adapted to control the pixellated display panel and the arrangement of light sources such that a partial display output is provided comprising simultaneously a set of at least three 2D views with no repetition of individual 2D views. This arrangement provides an output with controlled illumination direction of the pixels so that view repetitions are avoided. The output can be a single cone of views, and the location from which the cone of views can be viewed depends on the relationship between the light sources of the backlight which are activated and the display panel.
