Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for improving the reliability of pinpoint stimulation operations is disclosed. A pinpoint stimulation improvement apparatus is disclosed which includes a hold down device, at least one flow reducer coupled to the hold down device, and a jetting tool coupled to the flow reducer. The flow reducer is positioned downstream from the jetting tool. A fluid flowing through the jetting tool passes through the flow reducer and forms a sand plug downstream from the pinpoint stimulation improvement apparatus.
Abstract:
A method of inducing fracture complexity within a fracturing interval of a subterranean formation is provided. The method comprises defining a stress anisotropy-altering dimension, providing a straddle-packer assembly to alter a stress anisotropy of a fracturing interval, based on defining the stress anisotropy-altering dimension, isolating a first fracturing interval of the subterranean formation with the straddle-packer assembly, inducing a fracture in the first fracturing interval, isolating a second fracturing interval of the subterranean formation with the straddle-packer assembly, inducing a fracture in the second fracturing interval, wherein fracturing the first and second fracturing intervals alters the stress anisotropy within a third fracturing interval, isolating the third fracturing interval with the straddle-packer assembly, and inducing a fracture in the third fracturing interval. The straddle-packer assembly comprises a first packer, an injection port sub-assembly above the first packer, and a second packer above the injection port sub-assembly

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a method of hydrocarbon production from a hydrocarbon reservoir. The method includes providing a substantially horizontal wellbore having at least one productive interval within a hydrocarbon reservoir and forming at least one non-conductive transverse fracture in the reservoir along the substantially horizontal wellbore. An injection well is also provided. A fluid is injected into the reservoir through the injection well to displace hydrocarbons within the reservoir toward a production portion of the substantially horizontal wellbore. Fluid production from the at least one production interval into the substantially horizontal wellbore flows through an inflow control device that can restrict the fluid flow. A non-conductive transverse fracture can form a barrier within the reservoir to divert injected fluids to increase sweep efficiency and reduce the influx of injected fluids into the production interval.

Abstract:
Methods and devices are provided for treating multiple interval well bores. More particularly, an isolation assembly may be used to allow for zonal isolation to allow treatment of selected productive or previously producing intervals in multiple interval well bores. One example of a method for treating a multiple interval well bore includes the steps of: introducing an isolation assembly to a well bore, the isolation assembly comprising a liner, one or more sleeves and a plurality of swellable packers, wherein the sleeves and swellable packers are disposed about the liner; deploying a shifting tool inside the liner, where the sleeves are configured so as to provide open, closed and open to screen positions when actuated by the shifting tool. An open position allows for treatment of the well bore while an open to screen position allows for receiving fluid from the well bore. A closed position re-establishes zonal isolation.
Abstract:
A method of stimulating a production interval adjacent a well bore having a casing disposed therein, that comprises introducing a carrier fluid comprising first particulates into the well bore, packing the first particulates into a plurality of perforations in the casing, perforating at least one remedial perforation in the casing adjacent to the production interval, and stimulating the production interval through the at least one remedial perforation. Also provided are methods of stimulating multiple production intervals adjacent a well bore.
Abstract:
Methods of treating a subterranean formation having at least one fracture including providing a cement slurry comprising an expandable cementitious material and a breakable foamed carrier fluid, wherein the expandable cementitious material is capable of consolidating to form a plurality of expandable cementitious material aggregates and wherein the breakable foamed carrier fluid is capable of coating and isolating the expandable cementitious material aggregates; introducing the cement slurry into the fracture; curing the expandable cementitious material aggregates so as to form a cement pillar within the fracture in the subterranean formation, wherein the curing of the expandable cementitious material aggregates expands the expandable cementitious material aggregates such that at least one microfracture is created within the fracture; breaking the breakable foamed carrier fluid; removing the broken breakable foamed carrier fluid from the subterranean formation; and acid-fracturing the at least one fracture in the subterranean formation.
Abstract:
A method of servicing a subterranean formation comprising placing a wellbore servicing system within a wellbore penetrating the subterranean formation, wherein the wellbore servicing system comprises a first activatable stimulation assembly and a second activatable stimulation assembly incorporated within a tubular string, configuring the wellbore servicing system to provide a route of fluid communication from the first activatable stimulation assembly to a first zone of the subterranean formation, introducing a treatment fluid into the first zone of the subterranean formation via the first activatable stimulation assembly, and embedding a first portion of the wellbore servicing system within the wellbore.
