    摘要: A method of providing reactive power support is proposed. The method includes detecting at least one of a plurality of network parameters in a distributed solar power generation system. The generation system includes a plurality of photovoltaic modules coupled to a grid via inverters. The method further includes sensing a state of the photovoltaic modules coupled to the distributed solar power generation system and determining a reactive power measure based upon the sensed state and the detected network parameters. The reactive power measure is used to generate a reactive power command. The reactive power command is further used to compensate reactive power in the distributed solar power generation system.

    摘要: An alternating current to direct current (AC to DC) power conversion system is provided. The system includes a rectifier configured to convert an input AC voltage to an initial pulsating DC voltage. The system also includes an inverter configured to convert the initial pulsating DC voltage to a converted AC voltage. The system further includes a plurality of transformers, each transformer including a primary winding paired to a secondary winding, wherein each of the primary windings is coupled in series with the other primary windings, wherein the series coupled primary windings are coupled to the inverter to receive respective portions of the converted AC voltage. The system also includes a plurality of bridges, each bridge coupled to a respective secondary winding configured to receive a respective portion of a transformed AC voltage from the respective secondary windings, and coupled in parallel to the other bridges to provide a combined DC output voltage.

One exemplary method for balancing power in a synchronous generator system includes determining an output power characteristic of a synchronous generator driven by a prime mover and comparing the characteristic to a value derived from the output power of a plurality of synchronous generators. The method also includes providing a correction signal to the synchronous generator to modify the output power produced by that generator. A synchronous power generation system having a plurality of synchronous generators driven by a common prime mover is also provided.

    摘要: A cross current control system for multiple, parallel-coupled power converters includes common mode chokes, local cross current feedback controllers, and local converter controllers. Each common mode choke is coupled to a respective power converter. Each local cross current feedback controller is configured for receiving common mode cross currents from a respective local cross current detector, calculating a resultant cross current, and generating a local feedback control signal. Each local converter controller is configured for using a respective local feedback control signal to drive the respective power converter in accordance with a coordinated switching pattern. An integral choke assembly includes a common mode choke and a differential mode choke with common and differential mode choke cores configured with at least one magnetic flux path being shared by magnetic flux generated by common mode coils and differential mode coils.

    摘要: A method and system for compensating for line imbalances in line commutated converters. The controller includes a phase-locked loop (PLL) synchronizing tool which receives the line to line voltage signals and generates firing angle and frequency signals used for synchronizing the two input signals. The PLL controller, in addition to the firing angle and frequency signals, also generates signals representative of filtered values of amplitudes for each of the line to line voltage signals. A voltage imbalance compensation processor associated with the bridge firing controller receives the filtered amplitude signals and also a signal representative of the firing sector of the bridge. The voltage imbalance compensation processor generates, based upon the sector signal and the received filtered amplitude signals a amplitude signal used by a current regulator which is compensated for line imbalances present in the line voltage.

    摘要: A method and system for compensating for voltage notches in phase locked loop (PLL) control devices. A bridge firing controller receives signals representative of two of the line to line voltages received by the bridge. The controller includes a PLL synchronizing tool which receives the line to line voltage signals and generates a synchronizing phase error signal for aligning the phases of the two input signals. The controller, for a predetermined period following bridge firing, determines whether a voltage notch has occurred. If so, the controller substitutes model control signals for actual control signals so as to reduce the effect of the notch on the generated phase error signal used for synchronization. If not, the controller continues to use the actual control signals to generate the phase error signal. Once the predetermined period has expired, the controller utilizes the actual control signals to generate the phase error signal.
