摘要: Power generation stabilization control systems and methods include monitoring a frequency of the power grid. In response to detecting a frequency event occurring in the power grid, the method includes activating a control scheme in order to meet one or more grid requirements of the power grid. The control scheme includes increasing a power output of the wind turbine to, at least, a pre-event measured grid power. Further, the control scheme includes calculating a power correction factor for a power set point as a function of, at least, the frequency event. Moreover, the control scheme includes adjusting the power set point via the power correction factor such that the power output follows a predetermined trajectory. In addition, the control scheme includes controlling, via a turbine controller, the wind turbine based on the adjusted power set point for as long as the control scheme is activated.

摘要: A method of operating a wind power installation is disclosed. In the method, a network frequency of an electrical network is measured and an amount of power delivered to the electrical network is controlled by at least maintaining the amount of power delivered without changing the power when the network frequency is between a rated frequency for the electrical network and a deadband frequency. Further, the amount of power is increased by a first amount when the network frequency is between the deadband frequency and a control-band frequency, whereby the first amount is proportional to a difference between the network frequency and the deadband frequency. In addition, the amount of power delivered is increased by a second amount when the network frequency is less than the control-band frequency. The second amount is a preset amount of power that is determined based on a difference between the control-band and deadband frequencies.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a wind power plant, the wind power plant comprising a plurality of wind turbine generators, each wind turbine generator comprising at least one power converter for providing active power and/or reactive power to an electrical grid, wherein the method is determining a required amount of reactive power provided by the plurality of wind turbine generators, and grouping the plurality of wind turbine generators into a first set of wind turbine generators and a second set of wind turbine generators based on a demand for reactive power; and supplying reactive power to the grid (20) from the first set of wind turbine generators and disconnecting the second set of wind turbine generators from the electrical grid (20) in response to a control demand, in order to minimize active power losses. The present invention also relates to a wind power plant arranged to perform the method.

摘要: A power generation facility includes at least one generator which has a converter on the generator side and a converter on the network side and which is connected by the converters to an alternating voltage network on the power plant side. A rectifier connects the alternating voltage network on the power plant side to a DC transmission line. An inverter on the energy network side connects the DC transmission line to an energy network operating on the basis of alternating voltage. A control unit is configured to control the converter on the generator side and the converter on the network side of the at least one generator, at least on the basis of DC current and/or DC voltage measurement values measured on the DC transmission line. A method for operating a power generation facility is also provided.

摘要: A wind turbine is arranged to operate in a fully-functional converter mode and a faulty-converter mode. A plurality of converters are arranged to share electric current in the fully-functional converter mode. The converters are dimensioned not only to operate at nominal active current but to provide an over-current margin to enable reactive current to be produced on top of the nominal active current in the fully-functional converter mode. In the fully-functional converter mode the converters are caused to produce reactive current on top of the nominal active current. In response to a fault of one or more of the converters, operation is changed from the fully-functional converter mode to the faulty-converter mode. In the faulty-converter mode, one or more other converters of the converter system are caused to produce additional active current by using their over-current margin to compensate at least partly for a reduction of active-current production due to the fault of one of the converters, and to reduce the reactive-current production by the other converter correspondingly.

摘要: A power generation assembly for use in generating electrical power from air or water currents includes a rail system including at least one rail and a vane assembly, drivable by the air or water currents. A car assembly is slidably mounted to the rail and coupled to the vane assembly: wherein movement of vanes of the vane assembly generates linear movement of the car assembly. An electrical energy generating system includes two or more independent sets of stator windings carried by the rail system, and a piston, carried by the car assembly, wherein linear movement of the piston relative to the stator windings generates electrical energy. A switching system is operable to controllably and individually activate each of the two or more independent sets of stator windings.
