摘要： An arcuate segmental rocker actuated by cam-controlled carriage elements squeezes out the viscera. Rolling action of the rocker is effected by cam controlled programming of depression and elevation of the respective end portions of the rocker sequentially as the fish is advanced on a support table. Completion of extraction is assured by a rotary brush means stationed along the feed path drawing out partially extruded viscera from the body cavity and severing any vestigal connecting membranes.

摘要： A crab trap warp line coiling mechanism is disclosed that can be operated conjunctively with line hauling mechanism. A chamfered presser wheel that wedges line into the V-shaped groove of the coiler''s power driven sheave is mounted on a rocker arm operatively associated with interlock mechanism for the rotative slinger. A slip clutch for the drive connection to the slinger permits the slinger assembly to be stopped positively by the interlock when the presser wheel is raised without interrupting the driven rotation of the grooved sheave, and thereby safely permits removal and insertion of line through registered slots in the slinger and associated parts.

摘要： A system for conducting long-lining operations from fishing vessels is disclosed, featuring a special deck arrangement of hauler, line setter, automatic baiter, reel stacking areas and associated operating stations. The line dispenser, with dual reel support head, addresses a loaded line storage reel to the baiter as another reel support is disposed for empty reel removal and full reel reloading, whereupon it can be revolved 180* to reverse the roles. Spacing between the baiter side walls leading from the dispenser to the bait hopper permits transverse back-and-forth migration of the unspooling line in the baiter so as to pick up bait pieces from the hopper across its width, whereas an exit chute is formed and arranged to permit recovery of dislodged bait not securely impaled by the gangion hooks. Line storage reels are formed to permit them to nest in stacked relationship, empty ones ready for mounting on the power driven line hauler at a relatively forward location, and full ones adjacent the line dispenser situated aft with the automatic baiter.

摘要： A crab trap warp line can be both hauled and coiled by the disclosed apparatus including coiling mechanism operated conjunctively with hauling mechanism through a common hydraulic drive system tending to operate the coiler somewhat faster than the hauler so as to help the latter with knots. A presser wheel wedging line into the V-shaped groove of the coiler''s power driven sheave bends the line downward to pass through a tapered chute into a rotative slinger tube of elbowed configuration with a threading slot. As the slinger rotates with the drive sheave, the line pulled from the hauler descends in a helical configuration into a frustoconical receptacle having a side opening through which the formed coil can be withdrawn directly. Interlock mechanism is also disclosed for the slinger and a slip clutch for the drive connection to the slinger safely permit removal and insertion of line with the slinger stopped in an indexed position wherein its slot is positioned in registry with a line threading slot in the slinger drive and support means.

摘要： A fishing net hauling sheave device of the Puretic type is disclosed in combination with an assist wheel which is power driven so as to maintain its surface speed at the speed of the net which it contacts and which is actuated so as to press against the net rounding the sheave under pressure which may be selectively adjusted so as to control the wheel''s inhibiting effect on internal shearing tendency in the net passing over the sheave. Hydraulic controls and connections cause increase and decrease of power drive torque exerted by the wheel on the net coordinated with increase and decrease of wheel actuator pressure; furthermore, permit accommodation of hydraulic fluid back flow cause by reaction of the actuator in response to outward deflection movement of the wheel when passing over thickening sections of net.
