Abstract:
Techniques for management of commercial virtual assistant services are provided. The techniques include receiving a query from a user within an organization. The techniques include determining if generating at least a portion of a response to the query will require use of a paid service and determining if at least one other virtual assistant within the organization has cached information usable to generate the at least a portion of the response to the query that requires use of the paid service. The techniques further include determining if the information cached by the at least one other virtual assistant is valid based in part on the query and receiving the information from the at least one other virtual assistant when the cached information is valid and include generating the at least a portion of the response to the query that requires use of the paid service using the received information.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices described in the present disclosure provide technology for detecting features of interest depicted in a video stream supplied by a camera-equipped drone and adjusting the flight pattern of the drone to increase the amount of time in which the features of interest are within the line of sight of the drone. In addition, the present disclosure provides technology for detecting when events of interest occur at the features of interest and alerting personnel when the events occur. In some examples, the technology of the present disclosure also determines a format for an alert (e.g., a push notification) based on an event type so that personnel who receive the alert are apprised of the urgency of the event based on the format.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a method to ensure a submitter of an anonymous tip remains anonymous is provided. An anonymous tip may be received from a tip submitter at an electronic tip submission system. Natural language processing may be applied to extract at least one token from the anonymous tip. At least one query may be created based on the extracted at least one token. The at least one query may be executed against one or more databases storing data associated with the at least one token. A number of possible tip submitters may be determined based on the results of the at least one query. Anonymization techniques may be applied to the anonymous tip when the number of possible tip submitters is less than or equal to a defined threshold. The anonymous tip may be submitted when the number of possible tip submitters exceeds the defined threshold.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for quickly forming a PAN is describe herein. During operation a device will detect that it has gone from a charging state to a non-charging state (i.e., a battery not being charged). Moving from a charging state to a non-charging state is utilized as a trigger to form or join a PAN. Thus, a PAN can quickly be formed at the beginning of an officer's shift, simply by removing devices from a charger.
Abstract:
Techniques for transcription of an audio stream are provided. A request for transcription of a first audio stream from a first device is received. A request for transcription of a second audio stream from a second device is received. It is determined that the first and second audio streams are the same. One of the first and second audio streams are selected for transcription. Transcription of the selected audio stream is requested.
Abstract:
A method for scheduling is described. At a scheduling computing device, the method comprises: receiving interview scheduling information that comprises one or more existing electronically-stored case records and at least one interview window time parameter associated with an interview window for a public safety related interview of an interviewee by an interviewer; accessing and processing information contained in the electronically-stored case records, responsive to the at least one interview window time parameter, and identifying one or more locations of interest likely to be relevant to the interview. The method further comprises determining that one or more mobile imaging devices is available prior to the start of the interview window; and causing the one or more available mobile imaging devices to be deployed to the one or more locations of interest prior to the start of the interview window.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for automated dispatch of mobile devices is provided herein. An infrastructure controller device receives one of an alert and request for a response with respect to an associated location and identifies a first set of mobile devices for responding to the one of the alert and request. The device transmits a first dispatch request to each mobile device in the first set requesting dispatch to the associated location. The device subsequently identifies a higher priority mobile device for responding to the one of the alert and request relative to a lower priority mobile device. Responsive to this identification, the device transmits a second dispatch request to the higher priority mobile device requesting dispatch to the associated location, and further transmits a recall notice to the lower priority mobile device withdrawing the first dispatch request to the lower priority mobile device.
Abstract:
Systems, devices, and methods of managing short addresses in a wireless communication system include receiving reservation requests on a random access channel from subscriber units at a radio frequency (RF) site such that the reservation requests includes a minimum number of requested time slots for data transmission between a subscriber unit and the RF site, and a subscriber long address. Further, for each of the reservation requests, the RF site selects a subscriber short address for the respective subscriber unit as well as transmitting the selected subscriber short address to the respective subscriber unit on a RF site channel. In addition, the RF site determines a short address transmission schedule for the subscriber units as well as transmitting a schedule message to the subscriber units on a schedule channel such that the schedule provides slot assignments for data transmissions by subscriber units according to their assigned short addresses.
