    摘要: A roof-mounted, modular system of evaporator and condensor units is constructed and designed to be interchangeable with existing condensor and evaporator units on a motorized vehicle, such as, a bus or rail car and can be mounted as a external single system or independently mounted and retrofit for incorporation into the existing air conditioning and circulating system of the vehicle. The evaporator unit is compact and of low design height and is operable in combination with existing condensor units and compressor systems of the vehicle or can be combined with the modular condensor unit. The evaporator contains evaporator coils flanked on either side by heater coils, an expansion valve and control panel as well as the necessary blower fans together with a damper-controlled fresh air/return air system to meet all heating and cooling requirements of the vehicle.

The pedestal is dimensioned so that the mirror base fastened to the mirror holding has a predetermined distance from the windshield, which is greater that a minimum distance if need be required for the installation and/or function of the mirror base.

    摘要: An air conditioner unit adapted for mounting on the roof of a motor vehicle is shown. Two elongated condensor units are arranged side by side within the unit housing and extend along the longitude of the vehicle roof; two elongated evaporator units are arranged side by side within the unit housing behind the condensor units with respect to the forward direction of motion of the vehicle. Side walls of the unit housing are provided with openings so that air flowing substantially transversely to the longitudinal axes of the condensors can be received by the condensors. The invention provides for a motor vehicle air conditioning unit with low height and air resistance, but with large air intake capacity.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for adhesive bonding of a backing plate for a sensor assembly to a vehicle window, especially a windscreen of a passenger car or truck. The backing plate has an adhesive layer and is heated at least in the area of the adhesive layer by a heating device until the adhesive layer is softened sufficiently to carry out adhesive bonding. The backing plate is transferred into a contact pressure device and the contact pressure device presses the backing plate with the adhesive layer on to the vehicle window for a predetermined length of time. In order to improve the usability of such a method in the context of mass production, it is provided that the heating device emits infrared radiation, heating of the adhesive layer being carried out until it has softened sufficiently by positioning the backing plate with the adhesive layer facing the heating device at a close spacing for a predetermined length of time.
