    摘要: In a paper sheet dispensing apparatus according to the present invention, horizontally stacked bills are removed by a dispensing roller through a dispensing port one by one. When the dispensing operation is completed, one end of the stack of bills which is located furthest away from the dispensing port is held by an upper flapper, and the stack is moved by a predetermined distance in a stacking direction away from the position of the dispensing roller as the upper flapper moves. Thereafter, the upper flapper from the stack of bills is released, and the stack is moved toward the dispensing roller by an urging force of a spring and is brought into contact with the dispensing roller.

    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for selectively turning the pages of a book forward and backward. The apparatus of the present invention comprises a roller, first transfer means, pressing means, driving means, and second transfer means. The roller can rotate selectively in one and the other rotating directions. The first transfer means selectively transfers the roller between first and second positions. The pressing means presses the book against the roller. The driving means drives the roller to rotate selectively in the one and the other rotating directions. The second transfer means moves the book so that one page of the book lifted by the roller is laid on top of the other page. In such construction, the pages of the book can be turned selectively in the forward and backward directions by means of the single roller.

    摘要: A cathode structure comprises a cylindrical metal sleeve having aperture portions at both ends, a base metal having an aperture portion on one end, which is fitted onto one of the aperture portions of the metal sleeve, and an electron-emitting layer, which is formed on a flat portion of an outside surface of the base metal. After an electron-emitting material is sprayed onto the base metal, its surface is mechanically flattened to form the electron-emitting layer. Thus, the planarity of the surface of the electron-emitting layer can be improved without deterioration of the electron emission characteristics and the moiré can be decreased without reduction of the resolution.
