摘要： Enzymes are immobilized by a process wherein the carrier used for immobilizing is a hydrophilic pullulan gel having a three-dimensionally reticulated structure obtained by the reaction between pullulan and a bifunctional compound capable of forming an ether linkage with the hydroxyl group contained in the glucose unit of pullulan, or an ionic pullulan gel obtained by the reaction between said hydrophilic pullulan gel and a compound having at one end an ionizable group and at the other end a functional group capable of forming an ether linkage with the hydroxyl group in the pullulan gel in the presence of an alkaline coumpound. Immobilized enzymes prepared according to this process have a high activity and good retention of the activity.

摘要： A system for printing data on sheets, which can solve the problem of the waste of paper resources and also improve the printing speed. The second data is printed as background on an area of printing the first data in a mode that the first and second data can be visually discriminated from each other. The sheets are either receipts or train tickets or airplane tickets or entrance tickets. The mode permitting the visual discrimination is one based on density gradation printing. The printing is performed by a thermal printer. The mode permitting the visual discrimination is one based on the difference in density.

摘要： An optical signal transfer device includes a transmitter system and a receiver system for signal transfer between a base unit and a rotary unit. The receiver system includes a natural number n of light receiving portions forming a ring-like light receiving area around the rotary axis and a light reception controller. The transmitter system includes a light emitting portion, an emission controller, and an optical guide which guides a light beam from the light emitting portion to a light emitting area facing the light receiving area. The optical guide guides a light beam to the light emitting area in one of n equally divided areas of a ring-like opposing area which opposes the light receiving area. Therefore, one of the n light receiving portions always face the light emitting area irrespective of rotary position of the receiver system around the rotary axis relative to the transmitter system.

摘要： A precursor of a polybenzoxazole resin which comprises a crosslinking group in a molecule and has a specific structure, a polybenzoxazole resin obtained from the precursor by the condensation reaction and the crosslinking reaction, an insulating film comprising the polybenzoxazole resin and a semiconductor device comprising an insulating interlayer film in multi-layer wiring or a film for protecting surfaces which comprises the above insulating film. The precursor exhibits excellent processability due to excellent solubility in solvents and, after the ring closure, excellent heat stability in applications. The resin exhibits excellent electric, physical and mechanical properties and is advantageously used for insulating interlayer films of semiconductor devices and the like applications.

摘要： Pullulan aminoalkyl ether is obtained by reacting pullulan with an aminoalkylating agent in a solvent in the presence of an alkali. This ether may be used as a cationic polymer of considerable utility in industries. For instance, when used in a paper coating material, it gives desirable effects on gloss, RI dry pick, and RI wet pick and, furthermore, as compared with pullulan, markedly improves physical properties of the coated paper such as tearing strength, tensile strength and wrinkle recovery; it improves also retention of loading materials such as clay and calcium carbonate.
