    摘要: A high performance catalyst for combustion is provided which includes a heat-resistant carrier capable of retaining a high specific surface area even when it is used at a high temperature of 1,000.degree. C. or higher for a long time, and processes for producing and using the same are provided, which catalyst comprises a compound expressed by a composition formula of BaAl.sub.12 O.sub.19, and the process for producing the catalyst comprises kneading .gamma.-alumina or aluminum hydroxide and a barium compound or impregnating the former compound with the latter so as to give an atomic ratio of Al/Ba in the range of 100/1 to 100/15, followed by calcination. The process of using the catalyst comprises contacting a volatile organic material under combustion conditions with a catalytic amount of BaAl.sub.12 O.sub.19 and producing combustion products.

    摘要: In an apparatus for supplying a fuel to a vehicular combustion heater which supplies the fuel from a fuel tank via a fuel pump to the heater which is mounted on an electric vehicle, discharging into atmosphere of fuel vapor from the fuel tank is restricted to the best extent possible. For that purpose, prevention is made of that discharging from the combustion heater of the fuel vapor which is likely to occur when the set pressure for opening a positive pressure valve in a two-way valve for the fuel tank is set high. Interposed in series between the fuel pump and the combustion heater is a one-way valve which opens when the internal pressure in the fuel supply passage has risen to a predetermined set pressure which is higher than the set pressure for opening the positive pressure valve, and a solenoid valve which is opened when the combustion heater is in operation. The solenoid valve is arranged such that the leak pressure to cause the fuel to leak through the solenoid valve at the time when the solenoid valve is kept closed is higher than the set pressure for opening the one-way valve.

The guide pulley travel control means (18) functions in such a way that when the pantograph link mechanism (12) is deformed, it would cause a guide pulley (13) of the chain guide (15) to move inward axially of the hub shaft and at the same time forwardly downward substantially along a radial path of the sprocket cluster (2).

According to this process, it is possible to reduce NO.sub.2 contained in the exhaust gases with ammonia at one stage without by-producing N.sub.2 O.
