Abstract:
Systems and methods related to game consoles, game software and games for play on a game console having a touch screen interface. A card having a pattern defined therein is overlaid on the touch screen. The defined pattern is used to activate portions of the touch screen by guiding user interaction with a touch pad or touch screen. The activated portions of the touch pad or touch screen launch responsive activity in a computer program implemented on the game console.
Abstract:
An output terminal mount includes a molded resin body in which a harness connecting portion and a mounting portion are formed integrally; internal terminals insert molded into the molded resin body such that connecting terminals at a first end are exposed inside harness slots and three-phase output wires are each connected at a second end; and three-phase output bolts insert molded into the molded resin body so as to project into each of the harness slots, nuts being fastened to the projecting portions such that the connecting terminals and terminals of a three-phase output wiring harness are placed in pressure contact with each other. The output terminal mount is mounted by fixing the mount portion to an end surface of a rear bracket at a position between an outer periphery of a crown portion and a radially outer peripheral surface of the rear bracket.

An X-ray tube includes an electron gun in which a Wehnelt electrode is formed with an opening asymmetric about an electron emitter. The electron emitter is an elongate coil filament which is disposed inside the elongate opening of the Wehnelt electrode. The opening has two longer sides positioned asymmetrically about a center-of-width line of the filament. Each of the two longer sides is curved in the same direction as viewed in a direction normal to the front face of the Wehnelt electrode. The two longer sides have curvature radii R1 and R2 different from each other, so that an electron-beam-irradiation region on a target is not curved but becomes almost straight.
Abstract:
Each of the phases of coil in an armature winding of a dynamoelectric machine is constructed so as to have six turns, an inverter has a plurality of element-diode sets, each element-diode set including a pair of switching elements connected in series and diodes connected in parallel to the switching elements, connection points of the switching elements connected in series are connected to the dynamoelectric machine, a control apparatus controls the inverter such that the dynamoelectric machine is driven by supplying electric power from a first battery to the dynamoelectric machine during starting of an engine, and alternator mode electric power generation is performed by the dynamoelectric machine at least in a normal rotational speed region of the engine.
Abstract:
A rotary current-collecting device includes a rotary slip ring and brushes coming into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the slip ring. The brush-holding ring has an inner surface to which three brush-holding springs are fixed by screws. Each of the brushes is fixed to the tip end of the brush-holding spring and is pushed against the outer surface of the slip ring under the resilient restoration force of the brush-holding spring. When the slip ring revolves, the brushes come into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the slip ring. The brush is made of a metal-graphite compound consisting of 70 weight percent copper and 30 weight percent graphite. The slip ring is entirely made of glassy carbon, so that the brush abrasion can be reduced.

Abstract:
Provided is an X-ray generator comprising a cathode for generating electrons; a rotating anode having a cylindrical electron impingement surface, an X-ray focal point being formed by a region in which the electrons impinge upon the electron impingement surface; and a Wehnelt electrode for imparting an electric field to the electrons emitted from the cathode. The Wehnelt electrode has a field formation surface for forming the electric field, and an electron passage aperture formed by the field formation surface. The field formation surface of the Wehnelt electrode is inclined with respect to a plane tangent to an outer circumferential surface of the rotating anode at the center of the X-ray focal point. The center of the cathode is in a plane orthogonal to the field formation surface and aligned with the center of the electron passage aperture.
Abstract:
A welding set and a welding method that suppresses the unnecessary magnetization of a permanent magnet member by a welding current when welding one metal member including a permanent magnet member and the other metal member together are obtained. The welding set is provided with a work retaining part 3 that retains a work 14; a pressure device 4 located over the work retaining part 3 with a work-providing space interposed; a first welding electrode 8 mounted on a moving part 4a of the pressure device 4; a second welding electrode 10; and a welding transformer 11 that supplies a welding current to both of the welding electrodes 8, 10. Both of the welding electrodes 8, 10 are located on one end side of the work 14 with respect to one metal member and the other metal member respectively, as well as are located so that there is no permanent magnet member 18 between respective abutment terminal of one metal member and the other metal member.
Abstract:
An automotive staffer generator apparatus that is inexpensive and compact, enabling engine starting functions and generating functions to be made compatible by improving maximum torque without having to increase the number of turns in an armature winding. An automotive starter generator machine includes: an armature core onto which an armature winding is wound; and a rotor having: a claw-pole rotor core disposed on an inner peripheral side of the armature core; and a field winding installed on an inner peripheral side of claw-shaped magnetic poles of the claw-pole rotor core, and has a starting function for starting an engine and a generating function. Permanent magnets are disposed between adjacent claw-shaped magnetic poles.
